Only 'Bama has earned the foolish pride to call a decade of success 'flukish.'

Really? The SECR standards have dropped significantly in recent months. Couple of years ago OP would have been crapped on by all fan bases

Hmm... no. We have 42 titles. Where are the Gators at? 20's?

Ha ha ha.. Bama has had several decades of dominance.. You all are not in that discussion, not even close, OK? Great program though.

yeah. That's what I said.

Only Bama has the right to call a decade of success flukish and is foolish enough to do so.

If any other fanbase looked at a team's record over the past 10 years, noticed that it was best-in-conference, and called it a fluke, that fan would be laughed at...but not Bama.

Nope. Bama's success is so mind-numbing that 'Bama fans can call a 10-year stretch a fluke without sounding senile.

Congrats on your achievement.

LSU has had a great 10 years. Really great. A strong program with good results. Bama is on another level right now.

LSU football didn't begin in the 2000's. Most programs would love to boast 20+ top 10 finishes. I understand why 'Bama loves to scoff at such trivial accomplishments. Because compared to the BIG 15, who gives a shite, right? That's why nobody can call you a moron for calling a 10 year stretch of success a fluke. It's all relative, right?

It's like the Byzantines looking down at the Romans saying, "500 years...what a fluke. Try 900 years, bitches." Relative.

...and yes, everybody knows 'Bama has been great recently and historically.

Lot of truth in that. Is a profitable University AD an economic boon locally or regionally?

Gamedays are certainly an economic boon to the Tuscaloosa's and Baton Rouge's of the world...thousands of people descending on the local businesses and all that. I'm not sure how it really benefits the economy of the state as a whole, though. Alabama and LSU both have rich athletic departments, but the states themselves are still poor as dirt. Going to the BCSCG might be good for business if you own a college sports memorabilia show, but does it really go any farther than that?

I'm amazed that this troll worked. Maybe some of us care more about other college sports than we claim.

As for me, I'm going to just have to make myself be satisfied with 3 of the last 4 national championships in football. :)

Its really just a testament to how far the SECrant has fallen. And I can enjoy a good troll. People on here eat up up about anything these days.
