Moore and Downs

Moore is good as a tackler in the run game but not great coverage skills. I think of Downs as more of a corner than a safety. I think Arnold, Koolaid and Downs are solid.

LOL, they did not. Also, when I say great, I mean prior to 2018.

Serious question, not disputing Dawgs will buy a lotta secondary tix...

Am I right that back in '92 they sold "Season Ticket packages" for the game when in B'Ham.

And those are still honored today and Bama fans being the loyal fans they are they bought up a ton?

Prolly completely wrong but I though I'd read a article about this and a lotta Bama fans control tix and make bank in the years the Tide isn't represented...

He was a liability in coverage last year with all the injuries, I think he's been very good at multiple positions this year in coverage.

If you bought tickets to the inaugural game, and have maintained that purchase year after year - you are chartered in as long as you buy and pay the annual premium. In 1992 the premium was $80 - excessive for that time.

Also, Falcon season ticket holders get first shot at their seats. Don't know any Bama fans that are Falcon season ticket holders.

This was true for the first few weeks of the season but its not accurate anymore.

Even with the early struggles he’s top 5 in the nation among P5 guys in ESPN QBR on the year and since halftime of the Tennessee game when they opened up the run portion of the playbook he’s only behind Jayden Daniels from a QBR standpoint.

SummerOfGeorge posted some numbers yesterday pointing out that since halftime of Tennessee Bama has the highest PPD offense in the country adjusted for opponent.

He’s certainly not a finished product as a passer and UGA will be by far his toughest test all year, but even as someone who doubted he was ready to play winning football this year there’s no statistical argument he isn’t one of the top QBs in the nation at this point.

Statistics without context will fool you every time. The competition level that Milroe has faced since Texas hasn't been good. Yes, I know they are conference games but the SEC especially the SEC West has been down for a few seasons now. Milroe hasn't faced a competent defense since Texas and still struggles with rudimentary QB skills. Yes, the OL has improved but again the competition has been pretty woeful. I believe we are headed for another Tua/Hurts situation b/c Milroe can't take advantage of our WRs, RBs and TEs. I believe Ty Simpson can take advantage of those WRs and TEs. A one-dimensional Milroe-centric offense won't beat UGA.

I'm a Bama fan but I'm not myopic. I've seen many athletic QBs in the past who looked better than Milroe but as soon as they met a competent and athletic defense they were out-classed. I don't see why Milroe will be any different when he meets UGA.

We have recruited excellent players. I'm not a fan of not taking advantage of our excellent skill players b/c I know a good defense will negate Milroe. McConkey is an excellent WR but we have WRs who I believe are on his level plus a "Deebo Samuels" type player in Kendrick Law yet Milroe can't utilize these guys.

@Hback and all other Milroe sunshine pumpers I have a question.

Why are you satisfied with the offense not taking advantage of the elite skill players we have especially the WRs and TEs?

I am no "sunshine pumper", just tired of you always attacking & criticizing him. You made poor, incorrect predictions early in the season about how bad Alabama would be and how many games the Tide would lose if Jalen remained at QB, and have been proven wrong. Now you're sticking with your same old spiel hoping that he'll lose to AU or UGA so you can gloat with a "told you so.".

And, you still haven't answered my question.

A handicapped Bama offense which is what we currently have won't beat a UGA team which in essence has 3 DCs, Kirby, Muschamp and Schumann.

UGA has the def personnel to defend Milroe better than anyone this season. They can mix the rush up with 3 or 4, and leave 1-2 very fast, athletic LBs around the LOS. In the secondary it will be patented bump and run, man to man. Create tight windows for him to pass into and ultimately make him pass to win. UGA wins by 10 or more.
