So you could withstand his horrible clock management, lack of dicipline every year, makes no in game adjustments, and does not prepare for any team cause he goes into every game with the same exact gameplan? I mean he's a great man and is a class act but I just don't see how yall could put up with that for even a year.

I'd want him gone. LSU recruites as good as anyone. They have great players, they never field an offense worth a shite, and as of late the defense has not been good either. I think if they could find a worth replacement, I would want him gone. I as a Alabama fan hopes and prays they keep him!

I have never thought Miles was a good coach. I don't even think he was very smart. But he did play conservative football which gave him the chance to win. Even the 1-9 game he was only down 2 scores in the 4th Q. TD and fumble the KO and LSU is in it.

Which is one reason he didn't put the fan's precious little automatic Bama-pick-6 white boy QB in the game... the game would have been out of reach in the first series with Lee passing the ball. Even this year LSU was only down 13-10 at half... which makes the fans bitching about changing scheme at halftime look idiotic. Miles at least understood that before you win a game, you have to keep from losing it. But that is about the extent of his football savey.

I think LSU is going to have a tough time next year regardless if Miles stays, goes, and no matter who is hired. The team has too many holes left from poorly organized recruiting. That is one big reason to let Miles go...recruiting mistakes repeated over and over. And, guess what... the same recruiting mistakes are playing out again this year.

Having spent more than a little time with my fellow Bama fans before Saban, I can honestly say that I never heard any Bama fan anywhere say they wished to be "back at L5U's level". Bear Bryant seventies level? Sure. But wishing to be at "LSU's level"? What a fricking joke.

Dipshit.

Here is the thing baw.....Saban today is like Bryant in his prime. As long as Saban is at Bama he is just going to wreck shite and make the SEC his personal bitch. It sucks for opposing fans but this juggernaut is going to keep rolling until he calls it quits. He is the best in the business and Bama is really second to none in their dedication to football success.

As long as Saban is there a lot of coaches are going to look foolish. It doesn't mean they are bad coaches or bad programs, its just that Saban at Bama is really the exception. The move the LSUs, Auburns, and the rest of the league need to make is when the guy retires.....like what AU did when Bear retired and they got Dye. Firing Miles now is not going to solve your Bama problem and will likely compound it.

I know yall love Les Miles.. but honestly would yall still want him as your head coach after this year and the way LSU has looked the previous 2 seasons before this year?

Honestly? We never would have wanted him in the first place. We would expect better. Half of the L5U fans probably had to google him when he was hired.

I'm saying that in the scenario that Saban retires and he's available, I would be okay with having him come after Saban because, despite his woes, he still does have LSU competing year-in-and-year-out. I would be fine with that after Saban.

Alabama fans are traditionalists at heart.

Frankly, when Les Miles leaves, part of what made the Alabama/LSU game so special is gone. It used to be the battle of two well-established coaches. Two coaches who love their program and their team, who believe in playing smash mouth football, who coach their teams to both win and lose with integrity. Now you are potentially introducing Jimbo Fisher, who is a total clown, into that dynamic, and what you get for Alabama fans is just another game.

First Spurrier retires, then Pinkel announces he is also retiring, and now with Miles being forced out, the only longstanding coaches left in tSEC are Saban and Richt. A lot of Alabama fans don't take Richt seriously due to his team's antics on the field, so Saban is the only remaining member of the old guard.

Funny I remember when Alabama beat LSU in Baton Rouge for 30 years and Tiger Stadium was Bama's practice field.

Just the normal ups and downs. It will come full circle on bama in a few years.

Lumps are taken by all conference members at some point.

shite happens...

I was at the Miss St @ Alabama game when they won 24-16 in 2006. I don't believe what you just said for a second after being in that perspective

There's about a 5% chance you get someone better. But the LSU fanbase and the Alabama fanbase are very different animals. We don't think like y'all do and y'all don't think like us.

I don't believe this, either
