I know yall love Les Miles.. but honestly would yall still want him as your head coach after this year and the way LSU has looked the previous 2 seasons before this year?

Considering we are your rival, even though you aren't ours.... yes. Even Saban would be feeling some heat if he lost to Auburn 5 times in a row.

They beat Shula four years in a row and Shula got fired.

All in all they beat us 6 in a row

Funny I remember not too long ago Before Saban when we were whipping your arse regularly, when I had many Bama fans come up to me personally in a bar in Tuscsloosa, and say that they hoped one day they would be back at LSU's level. Wasn't as long ago as you think dip shite.

Bama fans would be called delusional, if we wanted to ditch a natty winning HC, that was 4 years removed from an SEC Championship win and National championship game berth.

Amazing heart felt story...

Wasn't like Alabama was going through probation or anything at the time

So was I dude, Im no Internet Terminator. You guys just seem to forget not to long ago we had the upper hand. Bama is lights out right now and with Saban that will last but I also think its ridiculous to presume LSU has been Alabama's bitch through eternity. Except the 60s 70s and 80s Awe dammit!

No. No, you don't.

You want us to tell you "Y'all are totally right. Les Miles needs to be canned this minute and we would want the exact same thing you want".

You want us to validate your overreactions about what's going on at LSU.

A good percentage of Alabama fans were reluctant to fire Mike Shula for fear we would be trading in one bad situation for a worse situation. And after the Rich Rod debacle and having to wait till January 7th for Saban to announced, it was looking like the worse situation was at hand.

I think you will find most Bama fans have a different attitude towards kneejerk reactions that involve a coaching change.

We had some rough fricking years after Stallings.

I personally think y'all are playing with fire. There's about a 5% chance you get someone better. But the LSU fanbase and the Alabama fanbase are very different animals. We don't think like y'all do and y'all don't think like us.

No. I just want a coach that doesn't look like a lost bafoon when he's coaching against Saban.

Exactly!! We were called "delusional" fans with "unrealistic expectations" for wanting to replace a coach with a 26-23 record who was one year removed from a 10 win season. Yet LSU is about to fire a coach that averages 10 wins and Auburn fires a coach 2 years from a national championship and crickets.

If Saban retires this year and Les is gone, then I wouldn't mind bringing in Les. Good guy, great recruiter, runs a heavy-run offense, and usually has his team competing in the SECW. Wouldn't mind him. I wouldn't expect a natty with him every year though, so it would come with different expectations vs what you guys are expecting him to do every year.

bama pushed out (depending on who you ask) a coach the year he had us playing in the sugar bowl with national title implications ... shared the sec title with auburn/ut, also ... but he lost 3 straight to auburn ... curry had bama ranked #2ish his last year there when we lost to auburn for the 4th straight time, 3 under him ... played miami in the sugar bowl and played well enough to win ...

and quite a few people wanted bear gone after the '69 season ... we'd want les out after the past 4 years or so ...
