Weak. LSU will expose our offensive line in this game.

Probably, Daeshon Hall and Myles Garrett are beasts.

They are inconsistent. The talent is apparent, but i think the coaching they get from cristobal is sub par, will be fine with him moving on. We also are undisciplined and get alot of penalties that stall otherwise promising drives. Luckily, the lsu defensive line is not great either, so i dont think it will matter too much

It's very questionable at this point, very. Trust me.

The center or right tackle?

Maybe not great, but good enough to stop the run and rush the passer. The LSU DL hasn't been exposed all year.

Lewis Neal is probably not the guy you want a backup going against. Hopefully the RT is healthy enough because I wouldn't want this game to come down to which team is less injured

This really is the matchup that I think will win the game for LSU. I don't see our offense being too successful, but I see Bama's offense having even more trouble. If LSU can keep Bama's offense behind schedule, they'll be in good shape. It will be a close game. Time needs to move faster

Most LSU fans have been very pleasantly surprised by the D Line this year. They are leaps and bounds better than last year's. I'd put them below Bama, Florida, and Ole Miss D Lines but still very good.

Arden Key vs Cam Robinson will be entertaining all night.

Love Key but if Bower is 100%, I think he gets more snaps due to size/strength to stop the run.

with the exception of one a-hole Ole Miss fan, this thread has been completely devoid of trolling posts, and amateurish responses. Bravo gentleman, bravo

Our OL catches a LOT of crap and sometimes deservedly so. But, Henry is not a 1000+ rusher because he gets it all after contact. He's a down hill runner and if the run blocking was consistently poor he wouldn't have half as many yards. They are doing some things very well.

I don't think LSU's DL is as good as A&M's or Tennessee's tbh

I disagree. We lack some depth but our D line is better overall. Both A&M and UT are getting 2.2 sacks/SEC game, LSU is getting 3.5

Now in terms of run stopping LSU is way better. Lead the SEC in run D at 83 yards/conference game, 3 total TD's.

UT is giving 166/game in conference and A&M at 233/game.

Linebackers also play a huge role, but our D line has made an impressive improvement. Lacouture being able to play will be needed, but another big part is getting Bower back to starting. Key has loads of potential, but a healthy Bower has the edge right now over the true freshman.

actually, the backup rt is our most athletic offensive lineman, Brandon greene. He plays te at 300lbs, but the battle for rt was very close in the fall.

Bama's O line aint near as bad as the talk is. Henry is over 1000 yds already and some of the holes he ran through were volkswagen wide. Now I noticed when their center left the game, they didnt block as well. Is he playing saturday night?

I think the key thing about A&M's DL is that their eilte pass rushers that are mediocre to bad against the run. Garrett is a great talent, but his run defense is putrid and has been since he got to A&M. Their DT's are talented, but not better than LSU's.

I think the starting LBers for LSU may be the best Bama will have faced all year as well which will be a huge difference. The impressive thing for run defense with LSU is they mostly play in nickel with a 4 DL and LBers and yet are pretty stout against the run and still get significant pressure on the QB in the passing game.

All that said, Bama's OL is very talented, but has numerous mental breakdowns every game. LSU has to capitalize on those or it will be a long night for them.

yes, kelly is good to go. cam rob has been playing with a knee injury he got in fall camp, and jackson has struggled with speed rushers. the guards have done well all year.

Bad. It isn't like they aren't good players, but so inconsistent. I watched Crob run by Miles Garrett to block a OLB and garrett made the play in the back field.

Bama uses a zone blocking scheme in the run game, for the most part. When it works it works really well. But it is susceptible to a dlineman who can get up the field and disrupt the scheme, as well as run blitzes if they are not picked up properly.

Lewis Neal will have a big game. He has shown he can really get up the field against the run.
