probably true, but kicker is part of the team

Best team wins the trophy, nothing else matters.

They do look impressive against much weaker teams.

Unlike Auburn. When's the last time Auburn's blown most of their competition away? It hasn't happened since I've been watching football.

BCS bowls are for the Arkansas' of college football! Alabama is championship or death!

The national championship is a BCS Bowl. Alabama won 3 of those. South Carolina hasn't made it to one. Why are you concerned with my comments towards a fanbase other than your own?

bullshite the team cared about the bowl game. Got beat because AJ had 4 turnovers in a game that they had game planned to showcase him for the NFL. that is one of the reasons we passed the ball so damn much.

it was actually a pretty entertaining game to watch and Bama had a chance to win the game late in the fourth until AJ douched shite up and fumbled for a TD to put us behind by 14,

a team will not win many games when they turn over the ball four times that all lead to scores 28 points to be exact

They had a point to prove after a disappointing 2010 season. After Kick 6, there was no shot at the SEC or national championship trophies. Alabama shoots for #1. Anything else is meaningless.

There was no shot for a championship in 2010 either. In 2013 y'all had a disappointing season because you didn't make the championship so what better way to make a point than to prove you're the best in dominating Oklahoma in the sugar bowl while auburn loses in the title game. Give it up, Saban didn't prep his team and was out coached in the sugar.

No way we would've lost to Michigan State. They wouldn't have the offense to beat us.

LINK

They only scored 26 against Western Michigan (14 of which were defensive), 21 against USF (14 of which were defensive), 14 against Purdue (7 of which were defensive), 14 against Minnesota, and 13 in their loss to a bad Notre Dame team. People only seem to remember their win against an over-rated Ohio State team, and that they beat a Stanford team that lost to Utah and a mediocre Southern Cal. They had a really good defense but we would be able to put up more points on them than they could on us. We would've beaten Stanford too.

Best in the SEC. FSU was better though, imho.

In 2010, the game against Michigan State was the first time all season we had a healthy team. Some of those guys really wanted to prove that they were back (Upshaw, Hightower, etc.)

AJ and the O-line were inconsistent and underwhelming this season. Michigan State wouldn't have been a pushover. Auburn would stand a better chance at beating Michigan State than our team. The Alabama team that we saw last season wouldn't have scored much versus Michigan State. Michigan State's offense may not have been impressive, but they would only need 2 maybe 3 touchdowns to beat Alabama. As you noted, they got defensive scores. I'm sure they could force a short field versus Alabama, and we could do the same to them.

Stanford lost to Utah after a close, emotional home win versus Washington. Stanford had another letdown game after shattering Oregon's title hopes in epic fashion.

We should be familiar with letdowns and emotional hangovers, e.g. 2009 Sugar Bowl and 2012 Texas A&M. Stanford was a good team last season.

Michigan State's resiliency was impressive. Their defense was overrated to some extent due to their schedule.

I didn't say they'd be a pushover, but consecutive wins over over-rated teams seems to have built them up in many people's minds. If they only scored 13 against ND or 14 against Purdue and Minnesota, how much do you think they'd score on us? Our offensive line did struggle at times, but we always managed to score points.

Eta it's beyond me how you're attempting to draw comparisons between Stanford's terrible losses to our losses to A&M and Utah.

Utah finished 08 ranked #2. A&M finished 2012 ranked #5. What does Stanford losing to a 5-7 Utah or one of the worst Southern Cal teams in years have to do with us?

Most people forget that Alabama was a double digit favorite over Michigan State in the Capital One Bowl just for the reasons you bring up. Everyone knew their defense was good but they also knew their offense was shite. None of the so-called "experts" could believe or understand what Vegas didn't see in MSU until halftime of the game.

2013 Auburn is living proof that miracles are real and occur on a frequent basis.

I think they have potential to be if everything clicks right and the new starters can limit mental mistakes. The talent, the coaching staff, and the motivation is there for them.
