Sorry, every analysis of his skills lists his coverage as an asset and at worst league average, not a weakness. You are incorrect.

Pro Football Focus - REUBEN FOSTER IS THE BEST, MOST COMPLETE LB IN THE NATION

quote:

Every year we see great linebackers against the run in college football, but what makes the difference between a great college linebacker and one with top pro prospects is how they perform in coverage. That’s why Reuben Foster looks like a future first-round draft pick, and potentially a very high one too. Foster has made seven solo tackles on receivers so far this year, with all seven resulting in a defensive stop. Again, it’s his ability to react, particularly to a running back out in the flat that allows him to shut plays down here. We also saw him make a play on the ball on Saturday night, covering Arkansas’ talented tight end Jeremy Sprinkle on a crossing pattern before swatting away the throw, which was slightly behind Sprinkle.

Reuben Foster - NFL.com Draft Profile

quote:

STRENGTHS : Has elite sideline-to-sideline range. Coverage ability is an asset. Logged 10 passes defensed in 2015. Can carry long speed against running backs on wheel routes and nine routes.

quote:

SOURCES TELL US "I think he's a pure run-and-hit WILL linebacker with good cover talent.

quote:

BOTTOM LINE Foster is a vicious hitter with elite playmaking range and an ability to toggle between 225 and 240 pounds. Athleticism gives him cover ability that former teammate Reggie Ragland never possessed.

Reuben Foster CBS Sports Draft Profile

quote:

STRENGTHS - Whether it be his outstanding sideline-to-sideline speed......Foster keeps his eyes locked onto the quarterback when in coverage, breaking quickly as the pass is released, often initiating contact with the intended receiver just as the ball arrives.

The good thing about already being so dumb is it doesn't matter how many concussions you get.

In about a month his "dumb" arse will be able to buy and sell your country arse 2 or 3 times over.

PS-Concussions are no longer a topic to joke about.

You can joke about anything as long as what you say is funny.

What about concussions, and the physical problems they cause, is funny?

Ruben is good in coverage. He is the 2nd best LB in the Saban era in coverage after CJ Moseley. CJ is great in coverage, but doesn't have the same thump against run as Ruben. Ruben can be as good as CJ.

CJ played lots of snaps for all 4 years at Bama and has great instincts. Ruben has just OK instincts and only played significant snaps for 2 years.

Ruben probably won't be all pro his rookie year like CJ, but his ceiling is higher.

I don't want Bama players to go to the Saints either

Brees can't hold that team together for much longer

I think Foster would be a great addition to the Saints. However I think they are going to move up for someone else using Cooks in a trade. I have a feeling they are after someone else from Bama, that being J. Allen. Him next to Rankins would be nice =)

I watched Reuben's career at Alabama closely selfishly wanting him to either get buried in the field of 5*s or never live up to the expectations. I have to admit, he is a lot of fun to watch as long as he isn't hitting your running back. I just wish he didn't come out of our own backyard.

No doubt. Would hate for Bama players to go to the NFL and get WORSE coaching than they got in college. Payton has never used Ingram properly and uneducated LA fans who tie everything to where the player went to college use that against Ingram somehow. The Saints fans who don't care about where someone went to college understand that Ingram in the best RB they've had since Deuce.

George handled it, so I'll just add that you really need to see an eye doctor or maybe give up football.

Please God no more Bama players sent to the Saints, whose head coach coaches offense like he is a 10 year old playing xbox. The Saints are a bottom barrel, garbage organization with a dumbass coach.

Please tell me your argument isn't that wealth is strongly correlated with intelligence. I'm happy to list numerous athletes who have actually lost all of their wealth due to a lack of intelligence.
