You are correct. Notre Dame's history is not as good as Alabama's because they have never had a really good coach.

All one needs to do is search the term of alter and it's apparent many here are obsessed with the concept of alters.
It's the same on a lot of message-boards. People imagine that no new posters ever arrive and it's all the same posters with different usernames.
It comes off as ignorant and backwards to genuine new posters.

I've looked over the record books and figured out Bama has been excellent, over the course of college football history, because of good coaches. Give any team Zen Scott, Wallace Wade, Frank Thomas, Paul Bryant, Bebe Stallings, and Nick Saban, and hell, they would be great too. So, really, I see the point that so many fans of other teams make about Alabama being horrible/average without great coaches. It makes perfect sense if you think about it.
