Yeah because Texas doesn't recruit in South Carolina...

OK, then name the last 5 SC prospects to go to Texas for football? Poona Ford may be the first one only because he was a UL commit, so after him.... start............now:

Guess you conveniently chose to ignore the key word in my statement: RECRUIT!!!

Yeah, this might not be as great as you think Conway.. considering Strong coached here, that gives them 2 guys who know the state to come and steal our players. Not to mention, Texas is still a more prestigious program than us.

I can't see many SC prospects leaving to go play at Texas, if the other south-east schools that have already been recruiting SC for decades and are hundreds of miles closer to home can't pull them from USC. That's all I'm saying.

Plus UT has such a huge hotbed of talent in their own state, of kids that grew up wanting to play for the Longhorns who are children of parents who grew up wanting to play for the Longhorns. They were already leaving a bunch of those kids behind due to them only being able to bring in 25 per cycle. They only had 12 commits in thier last 5 classes that weren't listed from TX, and those were mostly from border states like LA, AZ, OK, and CA which is still closer to TX than SC is...

My money is on Steele getting the dl position

Watch for Steele to be back at MLB.
Kirby back to DB (unless he lands a HC gig)
If Kirby gets a HC gig watch for Saban to go after the former UTx DB coach Duane Akina
Coach O to DL

It is as long as you have a great D to go with it.

He is the favorite. Only other coach mentioned is Kevin Steele who has no experience coaching D.line.

Why would Coach O go from being a HC to a position coach?

I don't know that he would. That was just my speculation.

Where is Coach O the head coach again?

Nowhere. Yet.

If Hud leaves ULL for Vandy though I could easily see him jumping at that opportunity.

I think it would be a game changer if Bama could land Coach O as their DL coach. The DL is the one spot you can honestly say that Bama isn't/hasn't been elite on defense. They have been good there and have had a few difference makers but not at the same level as their DB's and LB's. Orgeron would change that with the quickness and that's not a good thing for the rest of the conference.

Unconfirmed reports that Coach O is on campus in Tuscaloosa this morning.
