But why? They had a great year. Sure they should have run the ball more at key moments. They didn't have the secondary talent to be elite imho.

Saban is shaking things up to stay up with the current state of the game. The ground and pound offense isn't going to cut it anymore against some teams so he's changing his play style to stay competitive.

It will be interesting to see how this works for him, considering much of his success is being able to plug people in at various positions with little to no drop off.

This is good news IMO from the perspective of Gamecock Nation recruiting...Rumph has strong recruiting ties in the SC region, and was the primary recruiter for most if not all of the major SC prospects that USC and Bama butted heads over.

Don't know that he had much success in those cases, however. But either way, I don't think any other recruiter for Alabama will have the inside connections with SC high schools like Rumph did for future Clowney-type prospects. Will be a bit of a relief at least for USC coaches....

Was Rumph asked to leave? Bama fans did you like Rumph?
dont know if he was asked to leave, probably. i thought he was a decent coach, but for the level of talent we have had on the line in his tenure they have underperformed in the getting pressure department.

OK, then name the last 5 SC prospects to go to Texas for football? Poona Ford may be the first one only because he was a UL commit, so after him....

Kiffen isn't a spread OC; Coach Yaya wouldn't change the Bama 'ground and pound' offense either.

Explain please

What are you talking about? We aren't changing up our offense at all.
