How did they frick this up so badly? The only coach I was remotely worried about landing the Alabama job was Kiffin.

He’s shown that he has adapted to the new version of college football better than anyone. He dominates the transfer portal and brings in guys that fit his system to a T.

I thought for sure Deboer was a smoke screen and now he’s insisting on bringing his staff of non recruiters to Tuscaloosa.

Don’t get me wrong I’m excited for High to dominate in state recruiting but I feel a little dirty about it.

Turns out that fricking a prominent booster’s wife isn’t a good idea. Especially when they are on the committee that approves hires

Not saying Deboer is going to be bad but I’m glad they didn’t hire Kiffin

Kiffin will be a good coach at some place other than Ole Miss soon.

Just won’t be at Bama.

A lot of Alabama fans were in denial. We all knew he had no shot at the job, but refused to believe it.

No he wasn't. Kiffin has never won shite as a head coach. DoBoer has already accomplished more than him and he's only been coaching D1 for 4 seasons.

Barn hires Freeze 6-7 vs Bama hiring national coach of the year; and they think Bama blew it? The hypocrisy is unreal.

Kiffin was the hire I was most worried about
Probably followed by some combo of Norvell then Sark.

guess we will have to take your word for it, as you are the experts at blowing it with coaching hires. How many guys are you still paying?

NO!!! Bama got this hire right. Kiffin is a good coach but he is to immature for the job. Plus Kiffin has lost several games he might could have won because he makes stupid coaching decisions that end up costing him games. Bama got this hire right.

We will see. He's pretty much got it made in Oxford.

Yeah lol what an idiot. The sad thing is that Lane has the ability to be a coach on the level of Kirby Smart. He at least could be just a notch below him. Lane has no feel for the game though. He never has. He goes for it on 4th down because that’s what analytics tells him to do instead of using his gut and let the feel of the game dictate when he takes chances. He had no feel for calling plays when he was OC at Bama. Bama lost the 2014 CFP game to Ohio St because of his play calling. Henry was tearing Ohio St up and Lane all of a sudden fell in love with the passing game when it wasn’t working. Lane is his own worst enemy.

He fits in down in Mississippi. We will hang on to him. But since you mentioned 2014 don’t forget the loss at Ole Miss. No one else could’ve gotten those results out of Blake that year. Our defense was great.

The defense for Bama folded that day against OSU. Not the offense. How many points did Bama give up that day? The offense scored enough.

Kiffin's making $9-10 million a year right now. I don't think he's having to cope with any regret.

Should be "being a prominent booster's wife and fricking Kiffin isn't a good idea".
