I think most coaches will just let them play and probably not show every nuance of their sets.
Pretty much, Muss stated something similar to this when asked. Just a good way to get an early look at your players against someone other than yourself.

why did Bruce want to schedule games in Israel?
Pearl addressed this, and it seems to have had a net positive effect on the team:
quote:
Pearl is very public about his Jewish heritage. In a 2015 interview, he said, “I’m particularly concerned about anti-Semitism around the world. It’s growing very fast. I just want us to be able to get along and respect each other and love each other and tolerate each other’s differences. And that’s been my life’s work.”
Pearl told Paul Finebaum after the game Tuesday that Abraham is the father of all nations, Christians, Muslims, and Jews. Auburn's head coach said his job as a coach is to bring people together and help them get along, and that sports does that.
Far from avoiding the topic of religion, Bruce said that he will take the team to the Jordan River and give them the opportunity to be baptized where Jesus was baptized by John.
The trip appears to have had a spiritual impact on the players. Freshman Yohan Traore said about the trip so far that there have been “a lot of highlights and touring while getting close to God and learning about each other.”
Dylan Cardwell has been outspoken about the spiritual side of his trip saying, “For me spiritually this is the closest I’ve ever been to God, physically, spiritually, emotionally. I just thank him every day that I can step foot in his Holy Land and the land that he created.”
Cardwell was also moved by both teams praying together after the game stating that “The Bible preaches unity. Even though we competed against each other we are all in it for one thing, we are all in this in unity. That meant the world to me. It shows basketball has no borders.”

The Chinese team will also be pretty good. They have two 7 footers who were 2nd round NBA picks in 2016. Qi played in Houston 2 years and is in Australia now and Zhelin has been really good in China for a decade.
Will be good tests.
Will be good tests.

Alabama will be challenged on this trip more than what Auburn was challenged in Israel.
Lol at best it’s the same.
Spain select team is the same as the Israel select team Auburn played yesterday. Y’all are playing Lithuania’s B Team
Chinese National Team might be tougher than Israel’s National Team that Auburn is about to play, but Israel still has current and former nba talent on their team

I remember the draft hype around him. Everyone really wanted him to be the next Yao.

Luckily having capable bigs has been a strength of Alabama basketball going back a long, long time, amirite.

China and spain will be good tests... Honestly israel is bad overall , not elite internationally. But as someone said these trips are great experiences for all of these young men and are good for team chemistry and practice

To be clear today's game is against an "all-star" team of Spain's domestic league, correct? Not the national team (just like AU's game yesterday)?

Yes I believe so. Checked their roster and it's definitely not their national team.
The Chinese game is their national team.

It's not on TV/internet anywhere. We're all following it on some app called Swish.

Long and short of it I expect Bama cruise except for Spain.
Spain is seriously good.
Is it the Spanish National team or a thrown together exhib. team though? Because I think the Spanish Nationals would thrash Bama. That isn't an insult, I think they'd thrash Arkansas too. If it is a few Spanish pros thrown together to play some games they'll probably give Bama a tussle but I would expect Alabama to win.
