I would say as long as they are at or near the top of most feared teams in the nation, nothing has changed.

Then did Oregon have a "dynasty" up until this year?

AP Poll finish:

2008: #10
2009: #11
2010: #3 (played in NC CG)
2011: #4
2012: #2
2013: #9
2014: #2 (played in NC CG)

Oregon had zero titles to show for, yet they were "at or near the top of most feared teams in the nation" from 2008 up until they lost in East Lansing in September.

Did Oregon have a dynasty?

I think most anyone would say no. A dynasty must include championships. While Oregon did win 4 PAC 12 Titles during those 8 seasons, they had zero National Titles.

Saban cleary has or had a Dynasty at Alabama. But if the championships don't continue, the dynasty is over, IMO.

Obviously, you did not attend the last "Dynasty Meeting". We elected a Dynasty Decider and ...it was not you....SO... we do appreciate your interest in this position and our program and if you will leave your name and a contact number , I assure you we may or may not let you know when WE decide the "Dynasty" is over. Thanks again,

Some buddies and I were talking about football dynasties and I said certainly think Bama has been in one for a while, even though they lost last year. The facts speak for themselves, Saban is a great Coach who surrounds himself with good coaches and other talented staff. Bama has invested in great facilities and promoted their school and program the right way. The most impressive thing to me is his recruiting and the type of players that Saban recruits. He has not fallen into the trap that he must have small speedy linebackers and linemen to defend the spread offenses like others schools and what Chavis got us in to. Player like Ragland and Beckwith can play anywhere. This is what was lost on Chavis and his recent recruiting style. With that said, LSU is on the right track now, not exactly following the Bama model to a "T" but building our own defensive style in recruiting and carving out our own path. Win or lose 11/7 Bama has been a great program, but we are coming on strong ! Should be a great game like always

So, when did Georgia/Richt dynasty die? Has Saban defeated Georgia/Richt the last two times? Did Bama defeat Georgia/Richt to win their last SEC Championship?

Maybe there is more parity because the program at the top can't ever seem to put it together all year, every year as did Spurrier, etc.

The HBC went undefeated???

Well, 24 SEC titles. It's pretty good.

I think part of that is backwards. Saban did have the best strategy before the spread HUNH offenses reached the SEC. Then, he took a page out of Les Miles playbook when you guys played Oregon in 2011 and TAMU in 2012. LSU had moved to smaller but faster DL's to deal with the spread and HUNH style. If you didn't notice we got away from the Terrence Cody/Jesse Williams type huge and immobile NGs and went to faster and mobile DL's accross the entire line. And he built a system to rotate them in and out faster so he can keep fresh legs in and twitch pass rushers when needed. It took about 2-3 years to put all the pieces together but it's scary now. I've never seen us sack the QB this many times and they still stop the run better than everyone in the country.
