you got it wrong a-hole. When you hired Saban you started thinking LSU was your biggest rival. That is why so many gumps hang out on our board. I like most LSU fans have no interest in going to a gump board. You assholes have such a god complex.

None of your programs made the postseason last year. Your basketball had its best season in nearly a decade, and it only made it to the NIT.
So the NIT isn't postseason? Women's NCAA basketball tourney isn't postseason?

Yea, baseball and men's basketball are very, very weak flame/rebuttals for an Alabama fan.

I wouldn't count the NIT. Hell, Alabama turned down the other crappy tourney last season. Would that have counted? And Women's basketball? If you're going to count that, don't flame gymnastics, softball, or volleyball, all of which Alabama is very, very good at.

At least Alabama has won regular and tournament championships in both sports this decade. I feel that if someone is going to argue that Auburn's athletic department has been more successful, we should actually look at all the sports. Is that not fair?

Four damn SEC west teams except Arkansas and Ole Miss have scheduled an off week before playing Bama next year. Tennessee and South Carolina from the SEC east too.

Did Bama not have an off week before playing LSU??

I don't think a very large percentage of Alabama fans really see LSU has a rival, like Tennessee or Auburn. I have a personal rivalry with LSU, because of family and freinds that live in Baton Rouge, or went to school there. However, LSU will never be UT or AU, in terms of rivals. As for this board, it's a great board. I joined because of the interaction one gets with all kinds of SEC and college football fans.

Yes,but he keeps ignoring that all the while beating his chest how everyone on Alabama's schedule takes a month off to prepare for them.

Of course Alabama did. However, it's just odd that SEC teams, on 17 occasions, had bye weeks before playing Alabama the last few years. In the same time frame, the next closest was LSU facing 5 teams under the same scenario. Regardless, you gotta prepare for the games, bye week or not.

The bye week used to be before Mississippi State, before the SEC switched the two teams around on Alabama's schedule.

I don't think so brah.
Please don't call me that. I do not:
a) shop at Hollister
b) listen to 311
c) live on Lakeshore Drive
d) know what cum tastes like

Since SEC expansion:
Alabama 10
State 7

It's balanced enough, close enough, and historical enough to be considered a rivalry.

Are you really counting the 1993 game as a win? FWIW, on the field it's 11-6 in Alabama's favor since 1991.

On the field, Alabama fielded an ineligible team. On the field Mississippi State won that game. They fielded an eligible team; Alabama failed to do so. When you don't show up, you forfeit. Alabama didn't show up, so they lose.

Beginning in 1993:

Alabama 10
State 7

Nobody took anything. Mississippi State brought an eligible team; Alabama did not. It's the rules.

Found this on SI, very funny.

Auburn fans asked who their biggest conference rival was.

quote:

Of the 542 respondents who identified themselves as Auburn fans, 512 identified Alabama as the Tigers' biggest conference rival. The other 30 should be deported to Georgia.

Living in Alabama for years I have always thought it was odd how my fellow LSU fans consider Bama a rival when I know for a fact Bama has never really considered us a rival really.

Tenn & Auburn were always the rival games for Bama. 3rd Sat in Oct and the Iron Bowl.

Sure the LSU game is a big SEC game but thats it as far as Bama has awlays been concerned.

Dont me get wrong. I cant stand Bama but facts are facts. We have never been a rival for Bama.
