lol at bammers claiming they have been far superior to Auburn in recent years. Auburn has more SEC championships than any conference team over the last decade and more undefeated seasons than any team in college football over the same time period.

Even if you just go by Saban's tenure, Auburn has the same number of conference championships, same number of undefeated seasons, 1 less appearance in BCS championship, and trail by 1 game in head to head competition

I bet you're one of those people who love to talk about the rivalry record "without the Bear years."

I just laugh at bammers like you claiming you have dominated the rivalry in recent years when you are still 5-9 against Auburn since the year 2000

Rivalry is the same as always.

One team is always trending up, while the other is trending down.

But, I'll bite anyways...

Since Nick Saban arrived at Alabama, we're 79-15 - with 3 National Championships, 2 SEC Championships, 5 BCS Bowl appearances, 3 BCS Bowl Wins, and we've spent more weeks ranked #1 in the AP Poll than Auburn has spent being #1 in the poll's entire existence.

In that same time frame, Auburn is 59-32, has won 2 SEC Championships, 1 BCS National Championship, 2 BCS Bowl Appearances, and their three wins over Alabama were for a total of 14 points.

Auburn has been outscored by Alabama 218-114 and has been shut out twice in that time span.

Saban has had a lot of luck on his side. I don't know what else you would call it when your national titles outnumber your conference titles and you back into the championship game without even winning your own division of the SEC

ITAT logic and LSU talking points

Try harder little bro.

Everyone knows Auburn only started playing football in 1982.

I'll add that Alabama has spent 38 weeks Ranked #1 in the AP poll since Saban's arrival.

Auburn has spent 10 weeks ranked #1 in the AP poll in their entire existence.

Carson Tinker's dad has dropped and shattered as many BCS Crystal footballs as Auburn has in their trophy case.

And Malzahn took a team that went 3-9 the previous year and won the SEC championship and made an appearance in the BCS championship game in his very first year at Auburn.

If you count Saban's career at Michigan State and LSU, it took him 7 years to win his first conference championship and 9 years to make his first appearance in the BCS championship

Even if you only count his time at Alabama, it still took Saban 3 years to win his first conference championship and make his first appearance in the BCS championship

Wow! when you put it that way, we just suck out loud. I imagine no other fanbase in America would take that record against Stumpy and those championships.

I literally can't come up with a single way to make any of this post relevant to the current conversation.

but bammers only care about championships. At least that is what you claim when it fits your agenda. bammers have the same number of conference championships and the only reason you have more national championships is because you were fortunate enough to back in without even winning the western division

By your transitive logic Chizik won a title in his second year and whereas it took Nick 3 years at Bama. Does this mean Chizik is a better coach than Saban?

No. The reason we have more National Championships is because when we show up to the BCS National Championship game, we win.

The only year we got in without winning the division was 2011. See my sig. Do the math. Don't think too hard, though.

There is seriously no way you really believe Auburn's program has been on par with Bama's in recent years.

I don't know why I'm arguing with you. This was a brilliant troll job. Good job, sir.

How is what Saban did against Chizik and Tuberville relevant to today? The current head coaches have met 1 time and that meeting was won by Malzahn.

If you make an apple to apple comparison and compare Malzahn's first year at Auburn to Saban's first year at Alabama, there really isn't much of a comparison.

Saban went to the fricking Poulan Weedeater Bowl down in Shreveport his first year at Alabama. Malzahn went to the BCS championship his first year at Auburn

Congrats? I guess?

If you wanted to make this argument about this year, you should have done so. You didn't. This was your post in this thread:

Make up your mind. What do you want to argue about? Are we talking about Chizik and Tuberville, or not? You're the one that brought up Saban's tenure - which, in fact, does include Tuberville and Chizik.

Saban also took over a depleted Bama squad that only got its full compliment of scollys back that year and had a worse attitude and bigger issues than 2012 AU squad. Gus is working with players that he actually recruited for his own system. Big difference

We are weathering their Saban Storm with a couple of SEC titles, 2 BCS title games, and top 10 recruiting classes. I think its healthy, but will collapse if AU keeps matching their run. We're already at rule changing and the return of Al betar. A Gus win this year will begin the disaster

Gotta love that February trash talk.

Not too long ago uat fans were wondering if they'd ever win another IB, and AU fans were wondering if we'd have to start paying to see the game on PPV, because networks were getting tired of airing the yearly beatdown. I think both teams have excellent coaching now that is gonna be fun to watch in the next few years.

When was all that? 2002-2007? I think it's like 2014 now. I think.
