I also remember a thread when Mett got his first career start, so there's that as well.

You didn't watch the game did you? If you say yes, you are a liar or an idiot.
You are actually complaining about how well he did, as a backup with no reps. entering a game cold. You would not be happy unless he went 0-20 with 5 picks. You are just sad and pathetic dude.
Is every person on this site dumb these days?
This site sucks azz now.
Sorry your self worth is so closely tied to how people view AJ McCarron as a QB. It is fitting though. He pouted and cried because Manziel was the talk of his draft class, and now his fans are pouting and crying because he shite the bed in his debut.

Must be nice to create things in your head and repeat them so emphatically.

I can't wait for the same threads that Alabama fans will start telling us how awesome "insert player" is every time he farts. Somehow a guy who will likely be a career backup got an entire thread today because of an average game in a losing effort after the starter got hurt.

Did both of you just suck each other off while missing it was started by an LSU fan?

Dalton is now likely out for the year. It's AJ's team now.

Gives Bama another opportunity to claim a NC if the Bengals win the SB.

Dalton apparently out the rest of the year, AJ's gonna get his shot with proper starter preparation the next few weeks, we'll see how he does. Very likely will get a playoff game(s).

You're an idiot. Drew Brees has done pretty well. McCarron's arm is plenty talented.
What does Dree Brees have to do with this? Drew Brees has great arm strength.

Most of the great QBs don't have cannon arms. That said we'll see what he's got since the red b.b.gun will be out awhile.

If Dalton is out for a few weeks McCarron could be the first Bama QB to win an NFL game since 1988, cementing himself as tGOAT Bama QB.
Bama fans don't give a shite about the NFL baw... Unless it's Julio or Lacy because they are good.

No. Most NFL absolutely have cannon arms. That's the exact opposite of the truth. NFL offenses often require a cannon arm as it helps massively with timing. It helps overcome smaller windows and helps extend time to make decisions. It enables the entire playbook to be opened up and completely stresses the defense. Otherwise a QB needs pinpoint accuracy or ridiculous anticipation. As far as physical characteristics, it's extremely coveted at the NFL level. Being able to throw on a rope on a 15 yard out to the opposite sideline, even if it's marginally accurate, is far more valuable than a marginally strong ball with the same accuracy.
Peyton Manning's arm strength dropped off and he went from the greatest single season a QB has ever had to being yanked in favor of some guy named Brock in a season and a half. Joe Flacco played at Delaware and was a first round pick. Matt Stafford was never that great in college and he left early and was picked first overall without hesitation. Jay Cutler has a starting job and will for a long time because he has a rifle. He makes bone headed play after bone headed play but then he throws a 50 yard rope and all is forgiven. Aaron Rodgers has one of the strongest arms ever. Hell, Derek Anderson was given multiple starting jobs. Ryan Mallett is a moron and admitted to doing tons of coke in college and the Patriots drafted him. Tom Brady still has a cannon. Big Ben and Cam Newton do as well.
And you'll probably dismiss it, but think of the most accurate college QBs in the past decade. Graham Harrell, Timmy Chang, Colt Brennan. Hell, Colt McCoy was one of the most accurate QBs I've ever seen, second all-time in completion percentage and he's a career backup. Jason White won the Heisman and wasn't even drafted. And at the same time you won't find guys like Flacco, Cutler or Stafford on any NCAA completion percentage lists.

Bengals are gonna lose out...11-5 at best...with McCarron taking snaps.
