Personally, I think he deserves an invite. While his stats are not flashy, he does a great job. He does exactly what is asked of him and more.

You've got to be trolling
I get it, people don't like bama.
But this 'game manager' nonsense is just not true.
Bama passes every other down, on average.

And yet another Bama fan gives a stirring and impeccably logical defense of AJ for Heisman!

AJ Mccaron should not win the Heisman.
Probably true, and most people agree with this.
quote:
He is 4th in the SEC in passing yards behind JFF, Mett, and Bo Wallace.
You say this as if this is the clinching argument. It's not. "Most passing yards" is but one stat of many by which QBs are judged, and it's not the most important one.
quote:
All he is is a consistent quarterback who hand the ball off.
Well, you started off okay, slipped a little on your second point, and now you are proving yourself to either not watch football or be incapable of understanding what you are watching. McCarron is much more than a facilitator of the run game. He had 3000+ passing yards, 30 TDs, and 3 INTs last year, and could put up similar numbers this year. He is doing a little more than just handing the ball off.

If Alabama did not have a running game, they would be a 9-2 team.
Now you are just making stupid random statements. If ANY team didn't have a running game they would have more losses.

AJ has only attempted 229 passes while alabama has run the ball 326 times. alabama throws the ball once for every three times they run it
Those stats change in a close, contested game.
Look more at say the Texas A&M game:
McCarron 20/29, 334 yds, 11.5 avg yards, 4 TD's
Yeldon 25 carries.
Drake 7 Carries.

And how many of those run attempts were made without AJ in the game? Or by AJ himself?
Does McCarron to Coop still haunt you Georgia fans so much that you speak out of your arse against AJ? Get over it. You're back to mediocrity and will likely stay there with Richt at the helm.

Do they teach basic math at Georgia? OMG, "throws once...for every three times the run?" ... wouldn't that be 25 percent of offensive plays were passes? Good god my man...!!!
Plus... there are a lot of runs... maybe 30 plays total, that were end of game run out the clock, kneel-down runs that AJ wasn't even on the field for. Humm, we've got to do something about our education system...

You are at full retard now. According to the stats you linked, Alabama passes the ball 44% and runs the ball 56% this year.
If Alabama threw the ball "once for every three times they run it," those numbers would be 25% pass and 75% run.

Has anyone ever said they do belong there?
He holds most SEC passing records. Not too bad.
I have no problem with McCarron. I like him as a QB. I think he does a great job. I TEND to agree that he should not win the Heisman, but I really wouldn't have a HUGE problem if he did win it.

fricking State amassed over 500 yards against our defense.
Don't prop up McHandoff by pointing to the TAMU game. You know perfectly well the only reason Bama even won is because of the shockingly horrid defense we field this year.

Actually, that would be they pass twice for every three times they run it. A pretty good mixture, really.
