I dont see him making it work. Mcelroy all over in the nfl!

I don't know if he will ever be a full time starter in the NFL, but I do know he is a better QB than McElroy.

AJ can def run a good running and PA system, but in the NFL they want a QB that can throw it 40 times a game in a shotgun 4 wide system. Not saying he cant do it, because the kid def can play. Just hasnt been in an NFL offense so nobody knows what your getting with him

Career backup.

He is accurate but doesn't have a really strong arm. He looks better than he is at Bama because he has all day to make decisions.

Not sure about that one. His deep balls lack zip.

Depends on where he lands. If he's in a good spot with a good QB coach I think he can do very well. If he ends up with the Jets or some other dumpster fire he's fricked.

AJ McCarron at best is Matt Ryan and at worst is Kurt Cousins.

His improvement from his sophmore year to junior was astounding and I expect a similar progression going into his senior year.

He will go 1st rd and that pretty much gaurantees that he will get a shot to be a starter and lead a team.

I think he tops out at an Alex Smith level.

Yeah, a little bit, but his deep ball is good enough for the NFL, IMO.

Cousins is going to be a really good QB in the NFL

AJ will be better than Cousins, I have little doubt about that.

Nah, AJ has hit his ceiling. His is very accurate, but his arm isn't getting any stronger.

Moreover, AJ should be on the move more next year as Bama should have some losses on the oline (for once).

Which is going 20-28 for 250 yards and 4 TDs against one of the best defenses in the CFB? If that is his ceiling, then he will be just fine.

His arm is strong. He needs a little work on his deep balls, but thats about it.

AJ is still rail thin and will continue to gain arm strength when his body matures.

His arm strength is good enough to through deep outs consistenly on the money and he has great zip on his intermediate throws.

He does put to much air on his deep balls, but that is a mechanical issue more so than lack of arm strength.

In college, with the best oline in cfb and one of the best receivers in cfb. Also, LOL at ND being one of the best in cfb. Take the defensive rankings and GTFO, we all watched the game.

Not really. I don't see it. He doesn't have the zip that some other QBs have. He is very accurate, though.

Not to the far side.

Like I said, I think he could but its far from a slam dunk.

With Cousins we've seen him do well albeit it was just 1 game

I've watched AJ's arm improve dramatically since the 5A championship game when he was at St. Pauls.

His arm looked like a water pistol when he played in the Army-American game and has improved dramatically since then.

Tom Brady arm was said to be weak and he throws one of the best deep balls now. Arm strength impoves as QBs bodies mature.
