How hard is this really to understand? Bama WAS AWARDED a title in those years, decades before they were acknowledged by the University in the media guide...they didn't create the titles in the 1980's...just listed them.

Would it make you all feel better if we claimed seven going towards eight? We still have more than the rest of you. And as long as michigan and others claim pre AP NCs, I have no problem with us doing it.

Yes. AU, LSU, FL, UGA, all claim legit titles only. Bama seems to be the only one to claim a bunch of bullshite.
And teams like Notre Dame and Michigan do not run around with all kinds of BS advertising about bullshite titles. I have never seen a bunch of advertising of a set BS number of titles like Bama.

Here we go again...How many National Championships Does Auburn Have? That's right ONE. And you weren't even Auburn University when you won that in 1957 you were "Alabama Poly" so while you take away ours let's take away yours Fair Enough?
Notice it mentions when Bama was undefeated in 1966 and Notre Dame got it with a tie? So let's add that to our resume as you deduct others.
Actually it's all BS Alabama still has more NC's then any other SEC School All-Time. So whether you have 6 or 7 or 12 nobody else is even close..

I always knew it was a lie, because when I checked into the issue, I found 27 Alabama football national championships. I KNEW they were lying!!!

BAMA got jobbed in '66 and '77 as well. It sure is good to know that everyone complains about whether or not BAMA has so many titles when whatever number anyone could possibly agree upon would be many more than any other SEC team.

I disagree with you. If not for Vanderbilt's ethics and class, they could easily boast about their 32 national championships, but then again, they have ethics and class...just saying you know.
