No it was because they understood, and executed, the concept of the forward pass with a mobile QB and Bama wasn't used to facing that kind of offense.

We loss this game because of Doug Pussmeir. 1st and Goal at the 5,with Eddie Lacy and arguably one of the best OLines in CFB history, and we ran it 1 time.

In a similar vein as when aggy lost to Texas in the final game (when they said the disappointment was assuaged by Sherman's firing, making the loss worth it)...
aggy will say in the very near future, after Sumlin is retained, that they regret the win over Alabama because it meant they kept their black head coach for another year.
