-frick Noel Ellis and his trashy uncle

-Noel Ellis has diabetes

Is there any better proof that not only can Sumlin not coach defense, but that he doesnt even fricking know anyone that does, than this DC search for A&M?

Didn't he come up through the Big 12? No one over there plays defense

That would be a terrible hire. Pruitt only does good when he has more talent than the other team and A&M is lacking in top defensive talent.

Is Pruitt a good candidate? That GT game was ugly, but overall UGA has been pretty good on D.

I'll reserve judgement on the rumor until I know there is something more substantial other than just spitballing by some bloggers. Sumlin is steadfastly quiet, so the blogosphere will just keep throwing out names and hope something sticks. Who knows if Pruitt has even been contacted...

But it does appear that they are taking a "make them say no" approach with some serious moneywhip implications for SEC coaches before settling on a lower profile choice.

Edit: apparently both sites are reporting there has been contact. I am concerned about the observation that UGA doesn't win with lesser or equal talent.

Sumlin is desperate. He might as well just extend offers to every current and former DC in the SEC

He can have Ward for free.

This is the kind of hire that could bring A&M back to the glory days of the "Wrecking Crew" when they won a grand total of zero national titles, but got slapped with an NCAA violation every 20 minutes.

Prayers sent.

Pruitt is gone if this is true. Georgia is way too cheap to pay that much money.

Seems weird that this happened to A&M and every other decent SWC team except Texas. Almost like texas had an insider on the infractions committee named Charles Alan Wright.

The key to this entire thing will be........keep an eye out and see if Pruitt puts in a bid on a house in Columbia.

Every agent in the free world knows we have a ton of money and we will spend it.

The weasel agents are jockeying their guys for a piece of it.

Don't look for anything until after the bowl games. If your DC has an unsigned offer for less than 1.5M, be afraid.

Be very afraid.

must be a deflating thought knowing despite having all the money in the world, coaches still dont want to coach at that dumpster fire of a program.
