Would anybody be surprised if they did sign him.... Make him the highest paid coordinator in the country on a multi year deal....and he flops miserably???

I would not be surprised, but it could go either way. He could recruit well there, and already have a good offense in place. Plus, if that $ figure is correct, he would be stupid not to take it, that's a huge raise.

It would just be very A&M. In a couple years they are firing the staff and paying buyouts to both the HC and DC and offering Urban Meyer 12M a year to be the new coach.

That is big. The Houston and NOLA (stay the frick out) area are breeding grounds for DBs. Would definitely play to the strengths of the recruiting base.
