A&M hiring away Fran, ironically.

BUT there was a big extenuating circumstance in the form of Alabama going on probation that Fran didn't want to have to deal with.

To address the OP, it's pretty clear it's Chad Morris.

We'll all be crossing our fingers that he shows out this year at SMU instead of sucking the way Tom Herman did at UH last year, which lead to him arriving at UTw with no momentum.

Well actually LSU hiring away Les Miles or Auburn hiring away Gene Chizik was more recent.

But the point stands. A G5 coach, or a long time coordinator is the better commodity at this point. The market has changed.

Best A&M will do this year is 8-4 or 7-5. New QB and a soft D doesnt usually produce SEC success

Some aTm fans have unrealistic expectations...They were a middle of the pack Big 12 school......And are now a middle of the pack SEC school.
You are still recruiting against LSU, Bama, OU and Texas in the state..

And the issue has been your defense, Chavis is fools gold the talent he had at LSU, was by far superior from the talent on aTm's defense. Surprised he's still there.

The issue has been coaching and overall tone of the team.

Kevin Sumlin is on his:

4th offensive coordinator
2nd wide receivers coach
2nd tight ends/special teams coach
3rd offensive line coach
2nd defensive coordinator
3rd defensive backs coach
2nd strength and conditioning coach

The only two coaches he hasn't fired and haven't moved on are Clarence McKinney (running backs) and Terry Price (defensive ends).

No. You guys just won't believe that Sumlin isn't going anywhere.

Get over it.

If Sumlin isn't fired after this season and the Aggies don't win 10 or more games, look to see Kyle Field 3/4 full next season at best.

Sumlin isn't getting the big buyout.

If he leaves it will be voluntarily or a small buyout.

Everybody that doesn't renew is a chance for me to upgrade.

Yes, I was interested in Julia Roberts, but after seeing her go barefoot on the red carpet at the Cannes Film Festival there is no way.. bullet dodged.

ATm has averaged what 32ppg yet was highest ranked in defense for allowing conversions on 3rd down. There's a reason LSU allowed Chavis to walk.
I think yall allowing Joseph to leave may hurt recruiting Eastward of Houston.

The Les Miles clause was not a negotiable item for Chavis' extension. Yes, he was offered a bit more money to stay.

He knew les was gone and he was on the hot seat. Had he stayed he'd be shooting pool with les right now.
