And if you're going to say facilities and we were behind the times with them and all that, it further proves my point. There was no reason why we should have been so slow to upgrade facilities

Actually I think our brand circa 2011 was way way worse than any Aggie back then wanted to admit.

We rested our brand on being military and being shitkickers decades after both of those things fell out of favor.

Sumlin has basically tried to rebrand us for a reason, we needed it.

Right. This goes back to my whole "concerted effort" thing. We basically chose not to sell ourselves

We were a Top 5 team as recently as January 2014, coming off our 3rd straight 11-win season, 3rd straight bowl win (Nebraska, UM and Wisky) and 5th straight win against Clemson. Spurrier proved you can win at South Carolina.

I hope this isn't your standard. If it is, what chance does A&M have?

Couldn't beat Texas when you played and couldn't take advantage of their program's collapse when you didn't.

ive always found this to be a really intriguing talking point for people to make mainly because the same would hold true for like 99% of college football

Um, our local recruiting rivals are in the new Big East basically. We have plenty of chances to succeed between now and when the Big 12 fails.

Playing USC every year sure helps.

False.

False. We have the largest stadium in the state and the most revenue in college football. We took advantage.

All that money yet the series between A&M and Texas is far more lopsided than ours with Clemson.

You have done nothing of note in any sport. When people think of Texas, they think of Texas. Not glorified milkmen jizzing in their palms and slapping each other on the cheeks.

as would, once again, hold true for 99% of college football

100% > 75%.

And I was in awe the first time I saw the renovated Kyle Field. We all saw the new look practice and work out facilities on this site. We know A&M has tons of resources and support.

But you know what else happened the first time I saw Kyle in 2014? They got bullied around at home by Ole Miss, a school half its size and a fan base that stakes its reputation on tailgating.

Building stuff and having 4-5 loss seasons is NOT taking advantage of a down Texas team. Throwing money at a problem and getting mediocre results isn't solving anything. Taking advantage would be having the wins of Baylor but without the scandal.

My first and consistent impression is that a school like A&M should not being getting embarrassed by a school with so fewer resources like an OM.

Texas > Clemson in most people's eyes.

False. We have done pretty well in track and women's basketball.
