Rutgers is still a P5 school scheduled on short notice to replace aggy OOC, something aggy says they were unable to to because of time constraints.

A&M has played an OOC team that would pound the dogshit out of Rutgers each of the last two years.

Get the frick out of here

So are Wake Forrest, Duke, Iowa and Indiana

I am still having a hard time wrapping my head around Rutgers being "power 5"

aTm took one year longer than you did to get a respectable OOC game

Like I said, giving them a pass on this one

which P5 conference was Rutgers in last year?

They were in a BCS conference then, the P5 refers to the post BCS era, which again they are the member of the conference.

Perhaps you remember more of that BCS conference Rutgers was in, since it was that conference's champs that beat the brakes off of your team in the fiesta bowl.

They don't want to schedule tougher teams when they know they are guaranteed at least one loss on the schedule to LSU every year.

We all make fun of Alabama for their easy schedule. They don't have the easiest one. That one is by far and away belonging to Texas A&M.

Your secret plan is a little too obvious in this case.

Hats off to Missouri and I'm not sure how they managed Arizona State and Indiana. I would guess those were scheduled years in advance of the SEC move. A&M of course HAD a marquis OOC opponent in Arkansas, but that excuse is wearing thin. This year other than Rice (yeah, they're better than Indiana for those defending Mizzou, so shut up) and maybe possibly SMU depending on SMU, the OOC schedule sucks. In 2015 we have Arizona State in Houston and UCLA in 2016 at home. Until then, flame away.

ETA: Oops. Brainfart. Marquee. Particularly galling after calling out Justin Beiber for "dominate".

New conference, new Coach, history doesn't mean crap.

Beginning 2015- Arizona State/UCLA/Oregon respectable OOC games.

I'm really not trying to be offensive here, but I get this. Baylor didn't fill up the stadium during RG3's Heisman year, right?

also TCU, our most legit non conference, became a conference game.

On this one we have something in common. It seems like less of a big deal now because Arkansas and TCU were both better than respectable before 2012. Now... not so much.

quote:

eventually the bad blood and "we'll never play you again" crap will go away between A&M, Mizzou and the B12, but in the meantime, there aren't geographically sensible power conference opponents for A&M to connect with.

Just a matter of time. Basketball is already on the schedule. And you can use Baylor scheduling A&M before Texas would as a bragging point, as in "t.u. are chickens".
