I just watched the highlights. Wow.

First off, that offense has tons of speed. Christian Kirk could be a heisman contender with how he plays. Kyle and Kyler looked shaky but that's to be expected in an environment like that. I think the offensive line played well enough but they have to improve. It'll also be interesting how the run game develops as the season wears on, as #5 has a lot of speed for his size.

The defense is much better than I was expecting. I had a hunch that the coaching from your DL coach would compensate for how Chavis coaches but apparently I was wrong about that. There's nothing wrong with how Chavis coaches defense or how his scheme works. Our defensive line coach has just been that bad over the past few years. The defense was flying around to the ball and making plays it seems. It also looked like Mustang worked (did ASU even study Chavis' defenses at LSU?). Myles Garrett is an absolute freak of nature. The dude has insane speed and strength and it'll be a treat to watch him in SEC play against NFL type tackles. I'm really impressed with how much swagger the defense played with also but I guess swag isn't an issue at A&M.

Overall I think A&M is a strong contender for a 10+ win season and they will definitely compete in the SEC West. The offense has been good enough to carry the program this far and I think the defense should only build upon that.

Here's to good luck in your future endeavours *except in Baton Rouge this year or anytime LSU and A&M meet*

ETA: Did Dwaine Thomas get any playing time?

Agreed on all counts. The USC game last year still burns in my memory, but I'm cautiously optimistic. Cheers.

I think you might be over reacting just a little bit. A&M looked good but I'd like to see how they play against SEC teams that actually have an O-line.

Do you honestly think A&M could have a 10+ win season based off one win vs and over-rated ASU team? Every team in the west, besides maybe MSU, is better than Arizona State

For God's sake I'm trying to ease the relationship between the fanbases. We don't need any brinkmanship.

It is amazing how quickly lsufan flipped the narrative from "aggy has no chance against ASU" to "ASU was overrated"

Honestly, the west is going to be nuts this year.
It's going to be great.

Now stop trying to get Senpai to notice.

Seriously, the Aggie fanbase this season is superfluously seeking far too much recognition.

They're excited. No problem with that.

Not really. We had one of the higher-profile games of opening weekend and performed well beyond expectations.

Pretty much behaving like any other fanbase would in the same circumstances. Excited/optimistic/etc.
