I agree.

I saw several Michigan games last year and every win save for Nebraska was pretty much b/c the other team made dumbass mistakes to give it away.

Hell, it took a very questionable overturn of a TD for Michigan to with that Sugar Bowl and that was after VT did everything in their power to give the game away.

I think it's Alabama 31, Michigan 10. Denard will throw 2 picks. I think Alabama will control the clock running the football. Denard will have trouble seeing clear passing lanes because of his height and the size of the Alabama defensive linemen. Plus I think Saban's scheme is a little tough on a QB mentally the first time you see it.

It's gonna be the 1st game of the season for both teams and as good as Saban is at getting his teams ready, I wouldn't be shocked to see a sloppy close game with D Rob making a few plays.

28-14 Bama

One of the Mich scores will be result of special teams early. The other will be a late TD. If they run DR heavily he will not finish. He is a great athlete but he throws picks because he can't see the field.

I had some real good seats at the sugar bowl. Really good. We were there looking at a specific OL prospect.

The guys on the Michigan lines aren't anywhere near as athletic as the top teams in the sec....

It's going to be a bloodbath.

31-13 Bama. 2 picks 1 fumble for Denard. Just like LaMichael last year, a real SEC defense will crush Heisman hopes right outta the gate.

Defensive line and linebackers for bama will eliminate their running game and give Denard little time to get off a pass. Offensive line for Bama will allow Lacy to run at will. We will control the clock and wear down their D, and open up play action deep pass, same old formula. Alabama will break away in the second half. Will be closer than Michigan State game but similar domination at the line of scrimmage. Does anyone recall how many times in the last three years bama has failed to beat the spread? I know its very few, I think Bama -12 is a pretty good bet.

off the top of my head, I think Alabama is 38-26-1 against the spread under Saban. pretty impressive but those numbers might be wrong. but yeah, they cover most of the time. I think they cover the -12 but it wouldn't surprise me if they didn't.

its the first game of the year, it could be sloppy. I mean Alabama dominated VT a few years ago according to the stats but only won by like 10 points in the season opener. I think this game will resemble that one. Alabama is obviously better but the final score won't tell the real story.

HUGE Michigan fan, but I completely agree. Two of UM's biggest wins last season (Notre Dame and VT) were the direct result of DR escaping pressure and throwing up jump balls to his receivers. UM will scrap, but Bama is just too good to get beat like that, imo.

That's a typical win under Nick Saban. We could win 24-3 and it's an absolute thrashing between the sidelines.

I have only seen that UM game from last year so I don't want to completely write them off buuuuuut...if he lets the ball go like that against Bama then I can't imagine anything but a pretty nasty stat line.

I think UM be improved from last year and be a good team. However, even with the guys that Bama's lost of defense, I think they'll feel suffocated, and Denard won't know what the hell to do sometimes. McCarron will also have plenty of time to throw if they have to open up the running game a little. It will competitive until Bama takes control early in the 4th.

34 to 16.
