He should just say that Bama sucks and that there is no way Bama could hope to beat a far superior LSU team.

How hard is it to say that LSU's defense made the plays when they needed to, and Alabama's offense didn't?

Honestly, I'm not happy with the way our guys are coming off right now. We should be giving them credit for the win and move on.

We can be confident without coming off like that.

How about, "They played really well and we made some mistakes, but they deserve all the credit. We've been working on correcting those mistakes and getting better, and hopefully we can put up some more points on the board. I have every confidance that this team can go out there and beat LSU the second time around."

Or how about we don't just nitpick on-the-spot interviews every player gives?

I love that Bama players/fans are doing this, it is free motivation for our players.

They could be a little tactful at least. "LSU has a great defense that did well in the first meeting. We've made some adjustments and are confident in our gameplan, and we feel like we have a good chance to have success against them this time"

Was that so hard?

For Mr. "They're good but we're gooder", that would be quite hard.

Weren't there a bunch of Bama fans enraged over LSU players saying they could tackle Richardson 1 on 1?

It's hard when you're entitled.

That was on-the-spot by me, how about players try not to act like conceited pricks in interviews and be humble in defeat(or victory).
Doesn't just apply to Bama players by the way.

This.

While LSU fans have a shite fit after losses about "how much we suck", Bama fans go the other way by saying "that loss really showed how much better we are".

Why would LSU need motivation to beat a team they are better than? Odd concept considering its the national championship game and all.

Yes it is, for example on a simple iso. If everyone executes their blocks from lineman to the fullback the play will be succesful, but if a defensive players doesn't allow himself to get blocked thhe play will not work.
