In fact, Alabama had already lost to USC at home.

Then they obviously deserved a rematch and had no trouble claiming a National Championship anyway.

#14 or #15 or whatever.

I remember somebody offering to put up hudnreds of millions to host a game between USC and LSU after 2003 and the NCAA quickly swooped in and said a big threatening no.

That's great and all but 21-0 still exists...

Blame the AP/Coaches for it, not Alabama. Since WW2 Bama only claims AP or Coaches poll titles, which is pretty much the unofficial standard every school follows.

Thus no claim when going undefeated in 1966, because the AP/Coaches didn't say so.

USC already beat Bama that year.

Bama was a joke title claim.

We all laughed about it.

They act like it's real.

They don't like scoreboards.

Like when Notre Dame also beat them the year they claimed the national title but the pollsters said - uh, no - you lost to Notre Dame in the bowl game and gave it to Notre Dame.

Bama likes to claim "regular season" titles.

But against USC - they had no excuse - they still lost "regular season".

It's why the Midwest and North and West Coast basically laugh at Bama.

They're the Charlie Brown of CFB...

Their recent success from 1980's on is real...

Their past success is Southern mythology segregated bullshite.

All those wins...HA!

They'd get owned in the Big10 back in those days and the Pac-10.

Posers...frauds...charlatans. That's the history of Alabama football...for real.

Do your research.

Bear had a catastrophic loss record against West Coast and Midwest teams from 1963 - 1976. During his supposed hey-dey! hey-dey!

He whipped up on shite arse Southern competition to a ridiculous degree...SEC was like the WAC Conference football-wise back then...

But he went 2-11-1 against legit West Coast and Northern and Non-SEC competition during that period.

He fricking sucked arse outside of the SEC.

Bear Bryant sucked donkey balls outside of the shite arse segregated SEC country-club fake football conference.

Fact!

And Fact!

Look it up bitches.

The coaches trophy is a joke title? Guess LSU didn't win the 2003 national championship then.

Dear god man Who do you think changes the rules? Coaches, that's why rules are brought up, agreed upon, or denied. This isn't new.

had instant replay been around in 78/79 Southern Cal and Michigan would have tied in the Rose Bowl and Alabama would have won the UPI and AP title.

USC won on a "phantom touchdown". Ball was knocked out and recovered on the 1 yard line by Michigan. Even the USC RB himself said it wasn't a TD.

quote:

The incident has gone on to be remembered as the Phantom Touchdown. “There was no way I got that ball into the end zone,” recalls White. “But what was I supposed to do? Say to the ref, ‘Excuse me, you made a mistake?’” USC went on to win the game 17-10.

Nice strawman and he's not an LSU fan, however LSU beat OU in the Sugar Bowl in 2003 and won the BCS title.

In 1973 Alabama LOST to Notre Dame in the Sugar Bowl. After a split title where 1 unbeaten team split with a team they beat, the coaches switched to awarding the title after the bowls.

So, is it your argument that every coaches poll before 1974 is not legit, and every AP poll before 1965 is not legit?
