Playing ball where your dad did is probably really cool even if it's a rival to him now. If anything mike will have a pretty solid scouting report on what pitches to throw to him

LSU had the same thing with Cannon and Shaq (though the elder of each weren't coaches).

I don't care if Ole Miss was the best program in the nation with 5 national championships in a row, if I were Bianco's son, I wouldn't want to play for Ole Miss either. Get out from under your dad's shadow and make something of yourself. I have absolutely no ill will towards Bianco's son. I would have done the exact same thing in his situation.

Some... some of you are complete idiots. Complete. Ole miss had one less than stellar year. It was just the third time in 18 seasons Bianco has missed the regionals at OM. Friend or foe, if you think he needs to move on you really have not been paying attention or you have no idea what you are looking at.

We were 14-16 in SEC play this season while starting newcomers or extremely inexperienced players at every position except for 3. We had the most difficult record in the conference, drawing none of the 3 worst teams in the East. The sky is not falling. We need a new hitting coach and then we'll be set to make another run.

Yet, OMAHA still stands for Ole Miss At Home Again. I know it hurts but it was not long ago the Ole Miss fans were bragging how MSU would soon be your bitch in baseball.

You have a good program, don't get me wrong. Bianco raised you from the dead. But tradition means a lot. It always has and always will. I think you will be better next year but I don't think it matters.

A friend of mine that has a place in Oxford and goes to most home football and baseball games thinks it's time to take a different approach. I talked to him before the tournament and this is the way he felt so I assume he holds to that opinion especially now. But like someone else said, a good hitting coach might be all that's needed. A good young team with good pitching. It's an enigma but he needs to get it figured out. My buddy thought the AD would handle Bianco like he did Kennedy and not extend him but he won't get rid of him.

I told someone yesterday that this situation feels a lot like the Les Miles situation. Bianco has always won enough to keep his job, and it seems like he has become complacent. I'd give him his time with this young team, and if he can't get it done with those guys then I'd look elsewhere.

It's always easy to fire a HC. What is not so easy is finding someone not only to replace him but to be better. And that is not just hiring "a young & upcoming coach". Where does the team stand as far as returning players & realistic hopes for next season? Would a new HC have to totally rebuild? Recruiting status?

you don't fire someone that wins the national championship in recruiting. there will be outrage by all the students... I can see it now. 30 dudes wearing rompers and rave glasses holding solo cups. #BiancoRecruitsMatter
