Idk. There's still time for us to go full Auburn.

LSU can't hit and should fire their coach. Tiger Rant told me so it must be true.

I do read the Tiger rant because I love college baseball. Yeah the fans are split with most thinking Mainerie needs to go. I totally disagree as pointed out on a thread below.

There are a lot of solid coaches in the conference and most teams are good these days. Nobody is going to dominate anymore, we will just take turns on any given year. The Sec is a power in baseball.

I've tried getting into baseball but I fall asleep every time. It's like melatonin for me.

Don't feel bad, we all feel that way about Bama baseball.

State gotta pay Cannizaro. I have no idea how State is tied for the lead after the draft and injuries depleted this team. LSU is going to come calling soon. We got to pay that man.

I can honestly say any program in the country would be lucky to have Cannizaro.

Congrats on the series win.

I wasn't expecting to lose Saturday, thought AU was going to take the series after the Friday W.

Friday winner usually wins the series, but I guess that is why they play the game. Kolek & Martin both had one of their best starts of the year. We needed it in order to win.

You forget one thing - John Cohen being the new AD and the big money boosters who also love Msu baseball. LSU will come calling one day, not for several years but think about the following:

You have seen the plans of our new stadium? I don't think there will be one better in all of college baseball.

Secondly, Cannizaro can recruit. We have the crowds and a new stadium coming. No need for him to ever leave not to mention baseball is Cohen's baby. He will pay Andy to keep him, trust me.

I do realize there are some Lsu fans who think if they want Andy they will get him. Not so at all. He will have everything here he can get there and he realizes that his recruiting abilities can win here as much as anywhere.

For the last 15 years, the talk has been, no way would Bianca stay at OM not if LSU came calling. Cannizzaro played at Tulane and even though he is a Louisiana Man does not mean it would jump to go to LSU. Circumstances can dictate a lot of things. He is just starting at State so I don't think he will be going anywhere any time soon. Plus as was mentioned, in 2019, the new DNF will be finished and will take us to another level with our baseball stadium (similar to 1987 when we set the standard for college baseball). We are about to set it again.
Plus LSU has a really good coach currently so I don't forsee an opening anytime soon anyway.

If it was this year or the next then yeah I think we could get AC if we wanted him. Assuming Mainieri is around for the next 5 years or so though, it will be much harder. He will have established something at MSU. The only place where MSU and LSU differ in baseball is championships and tradition, and at a certain point the lore of our success in the 90s will fade away. I know he's an LA guy, but he didn't go to LSU. Not sure that he loves the school as much as an alum might.
