I think he's an interesting guy but there's definitely some risk there. My guess is they see him as a primary 1 with the ability to play off ball some, too, and let Youngblood and Wrightsell run some secondary points.

I'll be curious what the tone is coming out of his visit. My guess is it will be a lot of feeling each other out for roles and vision of where the player/team see things going.

Yeah I’m a little bit surprised Oats isn’t focused on bringing in another physical, veteran pg to replace the Sears/Estrada role. I don’t think Aden is transferring to come off the bench again like he did at Auburn and I’m not sure if Bama would wanna guarantee him a starting role given their potential needs.

You know the drill: hope in one hand, shite in the other, and see which one fills up.

Sears

At this point I doubt he's coming back. We'll see. It's not over till it's over, but that's what the buzz is.

there is a reason Auburn is not upset he left
Is there any concern at all about AU losing all 3 guards to the portal?

Donaldson, Aden and KD are all gone.

Auburn is returning Denver Jones. Just signed pg JP Pegues from Furman and is brining in highly ranked combo guard Tahaad Pettiford.

We will probably add another point guard.

I would love for Alabama to go from Sears to Holloway but we aren't that lucky.

If he isnt headed to the NBA then that's pretty sad.

That's a strong group coming in, BP will have everything he needs to make a nice run next year.

I don’t want former 5 star busts, give me mid major transfers with something to prove all day over dudes like Holloway

He wasn’t the “instant impact” type of player a 5* should be but he’s not a bust yet. With some seasoning he is going to be very good.

Not as "sad" as you may think...

heard he's a whiner, always blames others for his deficiencies, has attitude issues and is difficult to coach.

That's a shite move. Be a man and face your freaking Coach and team.

I guess time will tell on what he ends up being and I wish him all best (unless he goes to Bama) but he was a 5* player that was basically unplayable at the end of the season.

You can’t be a sulking head case at this level and expect to be successful. Then again he was a freshman and there’s still time to grow out of it.

Would like to see what he could do under a coach who is better at developing guards.

Coach can't fix him from shooting constant bricks.

Not sure he is a good fit at bama. Their system is layups and 3s. Both of which he couldn't shoot worth a shite anyways. He doesn't turn the ball over much so that's a positive.

Oats is arguably the best in the country developing guards.

No shade when I ask this question, BUT Who are all these great guards that Oats has developed?
