Unlike Oats, Pearl never throws his team under the bus and shoves other teams players.

Maybe Bruce would have more than 1 Sweet 16 appearance in 15 years if he did

Probably a better fit for Alabama than Auburn. Still has some things to clean up to be a solid SEC PG.

Pearl is NOT in favor of force as a means of conflict resolution

He's hardly the first guard to look like absolute shite under Pearl in recent years. It's been a big problem for Auburn's program and is a big reason why they've failed to make it out of the first weekend this decade.
Assuming you’re not trolling, I would love to see you provide some examples because Bruce has a history of taking underrated guards and turning them into all league performers.

KT Harrell, Jared Harper, Bryce Brown, Samir Doughty, J’von McCormick, Malik Dunbar (more of a SF) , Wendell Green Jr, Shariffe Cooper (when he was eligible and healthy).

Aden- despite his inconsistent shooting, he made the All Freshman team.

KD Johnson- is what he is, not sure his deficiencies could be helped by Bruce.

Chance Westry- was never healthy and couldn’t play. He barely played for Syracuse.

Justin Powell- was playing very well for Bruce until he got knocked out at Sky Bar and couldn’t play. Ever since then he hasn’t really done anything anywhere else.

I never said he sucked. He’s got talent and has a chance to be a really good player. Despite not reaching lofty expectations as a McDonald’s All American, he had a solid year protecting the ball and running the offense at times as a true freshman in a tough league.

Back to your original point and my response. How about those examples of Bruce not developing guards?

I’m against kids transferring from one rival to another out of general principal even if my team might benefit from it.

Would be an odd pickup for Alabama. Aden is not the type of guard Oats usually plays.

He completely ghosted the coaches and team at the end of the year

Sankey may not like it but I got no problem with it. I know it hurts but Oats is staying and will be dominating for the foreseeable future.

He has a great shot, deep range and doesn't turn the ball over. He fits most of what we want in a PG. The thing he has to improve on is finishing at the rim. If he came here he'd shoot well.

Aden really struggled getting into the lane and taking his man off the bounce. Oats system thrives when the pg can breakdown his defender and get to the rim/paint which gets the defense moving and shooters open.

Yea we understand the system. It's reliant on guys getting a step, but it doesn't rely on the PG necessarily always being that guy. And it creates angles for guys who might not be able to one on one create space to get penetration. Our last elite first step PG was Q. We didn't have one this year. Mark and Estrada are not elite initial burst guys, but they figured out angles and sprinting into cuts.

Our action is more based off quick, elite decisions off the first high ball screen to get a step than just beating guys off the dribble.

Holloway clearly lost all confidence at some point this season early in SEC play. On top of that he was putrid at finishing at the rim and his defense was pretty below average. If you are Alabama your thought is that how we play cures the confidence and another year of strength and experience helps the last 2. There just aren't a ton of solid ball handlers who also have the natural shot and range (extremely important for our system to spread the defense even more) that he has, so they probably see it as worth the risk.

I will say it.....he sucks.

I don't care where he ends up.......hopefully bama.

he is in love with the dribble. He can't finish around the rim. he would rather jack up a 35' than a 21'.

He plays very little D.

Aden can maybe get to that point because he has a great handle and quickness.

He currently lacks the ability that Quinerly, Sears, and Estrada all had of getting by their man and a getting a bucket.
