Both those games are on the road and home field is usually around 3 pts. Bama would be favored over UT at home and probably a pick em at home against LSU. By the time it's game week Bama will be favored in both these games.

Vegas lowered the points because everyone is betting on Bama. That means they think the games are going to be so ugly they are having to give points to LSU and UT just get someone to pick them.
Vegas just tries to get half the bets for each team. They aren't picking that they think Bama is going to lose.
