I think it's just more proof that AU isn't in the Top 25 all that often, considering. I mean, considering Alabama has won 6 of the past 8, and holds a 44-35-1 series advantage...

And considering Alabama has finished ranked 54 times in the AP poll, to Auburn's 38 times, and it's not hard to do the math.

When Auburn's good, they're usually really good.

They're just not "good" nearly as often.

And the Tide got a very favorable matchup in the bowl game against a 3 loss Ohio State who y'all beat by a TD at the very end of the game. Jay Barker and Sherman Williams had great seasons as I recall.

Saban's only failure as Bama's coach has been his inability to dominate this series.

He's won 6 of the last 8. That's fairly dominating, considering it took two of AU's best teams ever to win those two.

Yep, lost the SEC Title game when Spurrier sent in the backup QB and threw to the end zone after an "injury".

I remember the Browns drafted Antonio Langham around that time. He got off to a decent start in Cleveland as I recall. He was a high draft choice for the Browns. That's when the Browns actually went to playoffs and beat the Patriots but of course, got mauled by Pittsburgh in the playoffs. fricking Belichick sucked while he was with the Browns. Figures. The team has been a fricking disaster ever since. Poor bastards.

And I love Auburn fans, who are the only fanbase in college football who can not see those games for what they are.

ETA: Actually, I hate Auburn fans. Because frick Auburn, that's why. You fricker.

Yea, we've always said Auburn is either REAL GOOD or REAL BAD. When they are good they are top 5. When they suck they really suck. I'm not surprised at these numbers at all.

With that said, they have been Sabans biggest problem since coming to Bama. This is a rivalry game. Funny shite happens.

Read a few posts above you, auburn has finished top 25 (21) times since Bryant to Alabama's 22. Just goes to show how even this series has been in most's memory.
So by your logic, Bama is either really bad or really good too.
It's too easy to tell with Bama fans when they act like Bama has never done anything but dominate auburn. Where you watching the series pre 2008? I'm sure you were

Until Saban that's exactly what we were, except more like sorta bad or sorta good with no real good in there outside of 1992.

It's well known that Bama usually only beats the bad Auburn teams.

I'd argue the 1994 team was real good too.
