Certainly true. I do, however, have to think that with their facilities and Nike footing the bill on almost anything they want, they will have their situation figured out before the decline becomes an all-out tailspin. Whether that means a coaching change or a scheme change or what have you, I doubt they get too complacent about winning. What if they went after Kingsbury?

Kingsbury would fit that system but he really hasn't shown us anything down at tech. Plus I think teams will have a hard time pulling him away from his alma mater

Yeah when you think about it, how is Oregon supposed to compete with the SEC when they can't even win the Pac12.

Dont know ,bama won a bcs without even winning thier division, Ole Miss hangs SEC WEST banner when a team from thier division (da Tigers) won the bcsnc. Weird things happen, Bama claims 93 National championships, it must be true it was on the back window of a 1987 Ford 150 complete with crimson roll tide truck nuts.

Ah yes, I'd forgotten he's TT alum. I also believe he's a safe choice scheme-wise, but to me his biggest draw might be in recruiting. I imagine he's having a tough time doing that at Tech right now, but with a premiere name program to sell, that could change dramatically. We'll see I guess. I don't see Helfrich sticking around much longer if the losses pile up this year. Phil Knight reminds me a bit of Jerry Jones.

I will not jump onboard the Oregon is being conspired against bandwagon.

They are, however, a damn good football team.

No need to keep being generous.

It would take a monumental effort to pry Kliff away from TT. That's his alma mater.

All I know is that they lost to a good Arizona team.
But know what? Who gives a frick? They are put on this high and mighty pedestal by Espn showered with praise and promotion as if their dance card is already printed to the playoff. They lost to a good team. But....

GREAT TEAMS ARE SUPPOSED TO BEAT GOOD TEAMS.

Pathetic. Makes you wonder who they can suck off next? Can't be Ohio State. They already surrendered with a classic choke job against Virginia tech.

My bet will be UCLA.

Oregon's shite-the-bed games are happening earlier in the season.

The pink numbers were not a good look for them last night, and I like tatas.

No We Want Bama t-shirts this year on the coast.

Poor Ducks.

I am confused on this topic.

I thought bammer and ducks were all best butt buddies?

Remember roll duck roll tshirts?

What changed to ruin the love?

I am confused too.

I thought Auburn fans and their coaches thought you had to win the conference to play in the Championship game??

Now GusBus is backtracking faster ESPN after Lebron's "decision".

I wish I could say something witty about Oregon's loss but we lost to Indiana so I think I will just shut up and blame it on the pink trimmed unis.

I can see how you would be confused.

Let me explain the difference. Gus is talking about acceptance into a playoff format where you have to win a series of games to be a champion. Like the NFL and every other division of football down to pee wee.

Your team got an automatic invite to the title game to replay the team you lost to on your home field. While the other team had to win a championship game to earn the right to play there.

Bammer logic gonna bammer logic though.

auburn logic. Cannot discuss any topic without mentioning Bama.

This has nothing to do with Bama. Should you have to win your conference to get into the playoff? Or should there be two SEC teams in the playoff? It can't be both.

Glad to see Oregon still having their total number of national titles on their helmets.
