The Louisiana Tigers were charging up the slopes of Cemetery Hill at the end of the second day of the Battle of Gettysburg.

Whenever I convince Hollywood to do an epic miniseries event on the Battle of Gettysburg.

So LSU is the second most racist school behind Ole Miss?

All to make sure that an entire race of people remained enslaved. Yes lets celebrate that

You didn't like Martin Sheen as Bob E Lee?

Even if that were entirely true (which it isn't), does that reduce the amount of courage it took to charge into an entrenched enemy position, at night, outnumbered and outgunned? I think not.

Not so much. Robert Duvall was their first choice for Lee. We saw why when he played Lee in Gods and Generals - one of the few good highlights from that movie.

I'm waiting for the Gump homer to declare that Saban led the charge.

I have direct blood that shed blood in every war pre gulf war since the french/indian war.
I celebrate my ancestry and rememeber them. LSU has put more officers into combat than any other SEC school, besides the aggies.
So stfu.

The 15th Alabama regiment did engage the 20th Maine on little round top.
But the Yellow Hammer regiment was the 19th Alabama. They weren't at Gettysburg.

There were quite a few Alabama regiments at Gettysburg. And it wasn't just the 15th Alabama that attacked the 20th Maine. The 47th and elements of the 4th Alabama also got into a stand up fight with Chamberlain's men.
