There was nothing permanent or unilateral about the bridge scheduling. A transition team was created to get through the bridge schedules. The presidents and/or AD's will be buying off the permanent schedule rotations going forward.

It actually wasn't veiled at all (the hook apparently was pretty shiny). But the reason I was trolling is because of the ridiculousness of the misguided anger that LSU fans have toward Alabama on this issue (that and the rant has turned into a troll-fest for all fanbases, so why the hell not join in on it).
Look, of course you guys have the right to voice your displeasure of having a permanent cross-divisional game. But you guys can't blame Alabama just because they want to keep something they view as traditional for them. It's ludicrous to believe that Alabama was the only school that wanted this, and is forcing it down the other schools throats. And now that the vote is over, any further griping about it just becomes viewed as petty since there is nothing that it can accomplish going forward.

well, i don't really think that the displeasure should be aimed at bama, but you guys are the first example given of the supposed necessity of maintaining cross-division rivalries. a lot of the frustration from LSU fans is, of course, misguidedly aimed at ya'll, but you can only blame yourselves for that since bama is so vocally adamant about their opposition.
i understand the fatigue the other SEC fan bases feel toward this particular discussion, but it is an important topic and it's the offseason -we gotta talk about something.
