Obviously the other schools agreed that the bye week issue needed fixing. The same can't be said for the permanent cross-divisional games.

You're completely missing the point (even though, if memory serves, Slive unilaterally fixed the bye weeks for Bama without a member vote).

You're criticizing LSU for arguing for LSU's interests and I'm pointing out to you how stupid you sound. Just accept defeat and move on to the next thread.

How is AtM trolling LSU?

We get an automatic W vs Arse to Mouth each year. The lanes our oline will create for LF against that D 2 Defense will be glorious

Gator meat tastes great. I love them being LSU's permanent rival

Please tell me you don't really believe that Slive actaully has the power to make permanent, unilateral scheduling and/or rule changes...do you?

I'm not criticizing LSU for arguing for LSU's interests. I'm criticizing LSU fans for beating a dead horse, LSU fans for focusing their anger at Alabama (when all we did was vote to keep a game that has a lot of meaning for us, unlike the motives of some of the other schools that voted to keep it), and LSU fans' conspiracy theory that Alabama is the SEC puppet master pulling all of the strings.

You all overwhelmingly lost the vote, and it isn't changing anytime soon.

Should Tennessee get back on its feet, and FSU and LSU remain strong, I have the feeling Florida is going to start feeling squeezed. If these three teams get on a streak vs the Gators, and UGA can manage the occasional cocktail party, throwing in some occasional Alabama and Auburn games, and times could start looking pretty rough for Florida.

Next season UF plays at Alabama, at UT, and at FSU while hosting LSU and then the TWLOCP. Throw in USC and Mizzou, and that looks like a pretty damn tough schedule. They could conceivably lose all seven of those contests. You get enough of those type seasons, and the UF AD might start making some noise about schedules.

UF has never once wanted to drop the game

At least one of the UF fan message boards has people speculating that UF would've voted with LSU if the vote had been close...since the vote was apparently going to be a landslide, however, the Gators may have been able to save face and comfortably cast its lot with the majority.

Honestly, don't forget that UF's AD Foley was pretty whiney back in the 1990s when SEC schools had to play two non-division SEC teams permanently. Once he got Auburn dropped from the yearly schedule though, he kind of calmed down a bit.

there was a vote on extending the bridge schedule. its weird that i didn't hear about that.

also, you may not explicitly say it, but it seems that you're shrugging the LSU/permanent opponent issue off as without merit. as an LSU fan, i don't want to lose the UF game and argue against it with my brethren, but their argument is legit. i realize that 98% of what you say is veiled trolling, though, so troll away.

Nevermind that we made Pantyhill & Manziel our little bitches. No, let's focus on whooping the almighty Curley Hallman.
