I promise it would have been played differently if it was still a 1 run gm. But hey State lost last friday and won the series and it's a brand new day.

Hill was lights out. If I was Cohen, since Hill was lights out, when State did have a runner on , I would put runners in motion. A hit & run, steal attempt. I didn't see that. I'm not beating Cohen up but that's just what I would have done. Of course, I am a aggressive baseball coach

I don't get it. Top of the 4th, we had 2 in, 2 on, and no outs, and we bunt. Count me with Earl Weaver here. If everyone is slapping the ball around, why the *&$@ does a coach say, "Hey! Let's start making outs ON PURPOSE."

Stupid buzzkill strategy, but what do I know?

The win today means this is the 3rd year in a row we've won the series vs MSU. MSU is the first SEC opponent since joining the league A&M has 3 series wins over and 2 of the 3 have been in Starkville.

Our chances to win were instantly nullified when Houston was called in to pitch. Terrible match up, and I'm not even a baseball coach.

Two pitches done differently could have changed the game. The pitch that Rooker hit to deep center would have been out by 20 ft had been something he could have pulled. Game would have been tied. I don't like the strict matchup thing we do either. Houston throws hard but I thought at the time, Brown was throwing well and had just a good a shot at getting Melton as Houston. But, Houston had up to two strikes but Melton hit it where it was pitched and got Banks in. I have no clue what Mangum was thinking on the next play. I left the game immediately after that.

No outs in the 2nd and State has already given up 5 hits this game. A&M had not cashed in though. Bases juiced.

Looks like State may have gotten away with one at home. Force out called at home in what looks like the catcher's foot was not on the plate.

And the umpire had a great view of it and still missed the call.

Bart is a huge MSU guy and I don't think it shows. I think he does a great job.
