Oh my God you are so right. I was so surprised going through the responses. I am proud of the SECr today, at this moment.
I think our defense, on paper, looks better than past years. More highly touted players. We lack experience in the DT position. Our linebackers are a work in progress, but there is definitely potential. Claiborne is going to be a beast for us and he is just a true freshman. When playing, Steven Jenkins is a very good linebacker. If Donnie Baggs can take that next step at middle line backer, then it will be a pretty good unit. When healthy/playing our secondary, especially our corners/nickel are very good.

quote:
Rush end: Julian Obioha
DT: Alonzo Williams
NT: Kirby Ennis
DE: Gavin Stansbury
If Stansbury doesn't have his shite together by Alabama, then Jay Arnold needs to start. Brandon Alexander will likely never see the field and neither of the Taylors have the ability to move an offensive lineman
quote:
WILL: Tommy Sanders
MIKE: Donnie Baggs
SAM: Steven Jenkins
Jenkins is WILL, Sanders is SAM...and Baggs needs to move to SAM so that Claiborne can play the MIKE. Sanders and Askew need to sit for a while and let Washington and Mastrogiovanni take their snaps.
quote:
CB: Deshazor Everett
CB: Devante Harris
FS: Floyd Raven
SS: Howard Matthews
Apparently Honeycutt is the starter, not Raven.

We have 3 returning starters on the O-line. Jake Matthews, Jarvis Harrison, and Ced Obguehi. Matthews played RT last year, now playing LT. Jarvis plays LG, and Ced moved from guard to RT. Matthews, Obguehi will be NFL draft picks. Mike Matthews is our starter at center. He is a sophomore, but played considerably in mop up duty last year. Our line will be pretty dominant again this year. Germain Ifedi plays RG and is an absolute beast. He got leaner during his redshirt year.

I would like to buy everyone on this thread a beer or two. Threads without dumbass trolls or ridiculous attacks are few and far between right now.
