That is complete speculation on your part. Your opinion is obviously tainted by your own hatred of Texas and you are likely incapable of viewing this matter from an objective standpoint.

Ok, then lets see what happens. Maybe they will have someone with integrity for a change.

But we gonna play hardball after they fricked with us so hard over LHN, conference re-alignment, etc. They hired a PR firm to launch an anti-A&M smear campaign in the media for months. So, we're not just going to jump into bed without any consideration.

Gonna need to see some begging, some cash, made on our terms, etc..

Plus there is no actual offer yet.

Edit: I agree with WestCoast, it is going to take more time to cool down all the bad blood

I'm like the most unbiased Aggie on this situation on the board considering I didn't grow up in Texas and didn't grow up around the rivalry to give bias. My perception has been bases on observation in my 2 years here. The majority of people on both sides don't want the game to be played. People from the outside want it to, but the majority of people from both sides don't want it to continue. That is purely based on observation

I could go along with this. The next problem is scheduling years in advance, though, and possibly going to a 9-game SEC schedule throws another wrench into the works. But that's just details. If both schools want it to happen then they'll make it happen.

Exactly. Georgia will still play the nerds in Atlanta, and Florida will still play the girl's college if we have a 9 game schedule. If both sides want it, it'll start immediately.

Backing off a bit of my earlier statement, I'm just not sure it matters a lot. Yeah, we're both in Texas, so it naturally matters. But the demise of Bonfire to me really diminishes the importance of the game. If I were a student right now I'm not sure I'd see a Texas game as more important than a Baylor game.

The game doesn't have the same meaning without Bonfire, I agree. It's still a big rivalry though. I never had Bonfire but Baylor is and always will be an afterthought when talking about A&M's important games, imo.

You're joking right? What was the name of the firm?

Nevertheless, y'all did chicken out on the "rivalry" when it turned on you. Question is : will you eventually leave the SEC if we ever dominate the series at some point? Y'all certainly are afraid to play Florida annually.

Texas has replaced what could have been A&M on their schedule with the following teams over the next 10 years: Notre Dame x 4, USC x 2, UCLA, Ohio St x 2, Cal x 2, Maryland x 2 and Arkansas.

So why would Texas be afraid of playing a school that they've beaten 76 times? Makes no sense.

Now ask the Aggies who are the national powers that they've canceled games with so that they could schedule non-conf games with the likes of Charlie's Barber College. There isn't 1 respectable non-conf game on their schedule until 2018. Cream-puff city.

Dude - you have some huge tailgates to plan for. Shouldn't your tailgate crew be getting ready. Get pumped man! Get Pumped!
Big 12 is awesome.

I mentioned the home schedule, but the fun you must have traveling! wow - I forgot about that. You get to go to legendary venues in Waco,Fort Worth, Kansas.

I bet you already have your tickets.

The ags will be slumming it over the next few going to Baton Rouge, Tuscaloosa, Jordan Hare, The swamp, tailgating on the water in Knox, Columbia.

You go get fired up on your schedule bro. Its awseome. Austin will be on fire.

Leave the poor aggies to their boring tour of SEC venues. Texas is too smart - yall got us.

The SEC wants A&M to play Texas so A&M loses its recruiting steam vs. Texas.

This is the REAL truth in this thread.

They're scared of A&M's potential, sitting on all that Tejas recruiting gold as they are.

Can't say as I blame them. They have the potential to bust the Big Six wide open...

I expect to hear from you within 72 hours that a deal is on, or you are a bunch of yellow-belly nancys.

Why can't you sips just cancel a game or two against Notre Dame? Why wait until 2018?

Let me guess. Because that's a bad business deal? It has nothing to do with being Skeeer'd?

t.u. is a shitty business partner. Why would we ever do business with you fools? Are we skeeer'd for refusing to do business with you?

Thank you

You see it clear and the Mizzou fans are not to proud to admit it. Why is the Rant so obsessed with this topic? Answer above.

You're absolutely right...eventually...on our terms.

They've already publicly stated that they don't have an opening until at least 2018. We're simply making them keep their word.

Texas keeping their word? LOL. That'd be the first time in history.
