Well somebody has to win. If the offense didn't move the ball then you would be saying the offense would be having a hard time.
Also we were missing several key starters on defense for this scrimmage.

Starting DTs were held out. Also, we have a hell of an offensive line. QBs probably not challenged by up the middle pressure.
If Manziel can keep his head on straight, he will be perfect for the offense. Showers has the better arm but Manziel is at another level when it comes to play making.

Probably half of the offensive possessions were started from inside the defenses 40 yd line.

Apparently JFF has improved dramatically this Summer - if he continues to not be stupid with the football and has a good week, he might end up starting.
Showers may have taken the Summer off, and has a tendency to stare down receivers - should have been intercepted twice.
On the bright side, have an embarrassment of riches at RB. However the DL is simply terrible. We are going to give up some massive points this year. No relief in sight for the DL...

Can't compete in the SEC with even a mediocre DL. 6-6 seems like the ceiling for the Ags.

There's nothing latech can do about our o-line. Nothing. It won't be pretty.
In terms of the QB battle...I wouldn't gather too much from one scrimmage. But its clear JFF came to play. Curious to see if Showers recovers enough this week to earn it.

The previous offense stressed going through progressions. This offense stresses making quick reads and quick throws. Showers has to unlearn old tendencies and might not make decisions as quickly as Manziel. That's an explanation I have heard
