A University of Washington regent slammed former athletic director Scott Woodward on Thursday, saying Woodward did not let the governing board know about a growing deficit in the UW athletic department’s budget. Regent Jeremy Jaech, the board’s vice chair, described it as “a bad-faith effort” on Woodward’s part to use one-time money, paid in advance to UW for multimedia advertising, and apply it to the budget. Jaech called it “an attempt to make the numbers look better than they really were.” Woodward left the UW in January for a similar position at Texas A&M.

I'm kind of happy that we aren't paying our HC around $2 million per victory.

Take the total cost of Strong... divide by total number of wins... and stick it up your arse. That equals about $2M per win.

Does that math work for you pussy? frick off.

You don't have to pay nearly as much at A&M to rise up a level, but there are a lot more levels...so it's basically the same in the end.

The best in world cannot make these numbers look any better...

texas 21
Kansas 24

Tell them to grab the old "brand polishing cream" and get to work. No way to polish up that turd and make it look better.

I believe he is referring to money we are making (that's what revenue means) due to the stadium being finished. Football money.

Yet you can't afford to fire Sumlin, a fact widely acknowledged by your aggy drones. That's sad right there. That just screams being cash-poor and cooking the books.

Who said we can't afford it? We can totally afford it. We don't want to pay that much because it would be fiscally irresponsible. There is a difference between can't afford and choose not to pay. Value. Are we going to get $20 million in value if we fire this staff? No. So there is no reason to do it.

Having to cough it up within 60 days might have a little bit to do with it, eh? Like I say, cash-poor and leveraged to the eyeballs.

The 60-day thing is an issue. I'll give you that one. That was just stupid of us to ever do in the first place though. For a fan of a program that just lost to Kansas and is likely going to miss a bowl game for the 2nd year in a row, you sure are talking a lot of shite on here today.

One side of your mouth- "Texas A&M is an average program and its fans should accept it."

The other side of your mouth - "I can't believe A&M won't fire a coach that gets them an average number of wins."

Pick a side. Or don't and go focus on your own personal dumpster fire called Texas Football.

as well as endowment earnings from previous years

For real? Wow. Wonder whether they are leveraging the 2/3 portion of the oil money that belongs to the University of Texas System in this? They are already claiming the entire A&M System oil endowment (the other 1/3) as belonging solely to College Station, so it's not out of the realm.
