It should be of no surprise the Aggies get their football talk from a guy that looks like this.

My fondest wish is that A&M restores the tradition of David Lynch Sarge

Wow he actually didn't do too bad last year. Picked A&M as the flop team.

Forget Mandel, holy shite was Bruce Feldman wrong last year...

quote:

SURPRISE TEAM
Feldman: LSU Tigers. Yeah, the Tigers will be the youngest team in the conference, and perhaps the nation, with the skill talent they’ll be relying on this year. Those kids are also ridiculously talented and focused. Sure, there will be a hiccup or two from them, but this is still a dangerous team and they could be really scary by mid-October.

quote:

FLOP TEAM
Feldman: Missouri Tigers. I don’t think the Tigers will fall apart, but after winning the East and going 12-2, I think they’re going to backslide into the bottom half of the East. They lost some stud wideouts and playmakers in the secondary and on the defensive line.

quote:

BREAKOUT PLAYER
Feldman: Jeff Driskel, QB, Florida Gators. No, seriously. Teammates have always liked and respected him and his toughness. The arrival of new OC Kurt Roper has sped up the offense and re-focused the 6-foot-4, 235-pound QB, who Roper says has first-round talent. Now Driskel’s playing behind the best O-line the Gators have had since he’s been there.

quote:

IMPACT FRESHMAN
Feldman: Speedy Noil, WR, Texas A&M. The Aggies lost a Top 10 WR in Mike Evans, but their receiving corps will actually be improved. Noil is a game-changer. He’s fast and extremely physical with great hands. Oh yeah, JC transfer Josh Reynolds, a lanky 6-2 former track guy, is ready to burst onto the SEC scene as well. Malcome Kennedy and Ricky Seals Jones will also keep some heat off the new kid.

I can overlook all of those, but Driskel as the conference's breakout player?

I could see A&M winning it, but I don't trust Stewart Mandel.

I think everyone has been predicted to win the SEC this year but Vanderbilt and Sewanee.

Keep your eye on September 12. Sewanee travels to Washington and Lee.

If Washington catches an injury, there is no way Lee can play defense by himself.

If Sewanee pulls this one out, it's all downhill to the championship game. You heard it here first.

Fortunately for Stewart, he's wrong more often than he's right with CFB predictions so 1 more time won't bother him much.

you know what? this shite pisses me off. I don't really care about this individual pick, but the whole scam that is Sports Writing.

We've all been fans, and we all have outlandish opininions on some things. We collectively were too lazy to put it on paper and make a living out of it. I often times say my dream job woud be a Def Coord but maybe that's not right. I should have written about the game I love. I would be paid to watch football, particularly CFB.

Not a damned thing of any consequence will be made of any of the prognostications. Yet here we are, bickering about this.

Well played, you f'in sportswriters. Well played indeed.
