And there is the kicker. How many would LSU have in those conferences. Be honest.
If you assume athletics actually took place before 2000, far less.

You have to admire the persistence of aTm fans.
After the most embarrassing blown lead in conference history, in the league's most important sport which they've done basically nothing in since they've joined, they still talk shite to the school that they've lost to 6 times in a row in said sport.
That's next-level stuff. Or maybe just a mental deficiency. Either way,

Lmao. Yeah, all of LSU's success came from this millenia.

You have to admire the complete lack of situational awareness of LSU fans, who think brand recognition solely consists of football.

I don't think even you believe that.
I'm also not going to bad mouth Missouri. I enjoy being in the SEC with them. now ole miss on the other hand...

I just complimented Missouri. Don't make me regret it.

A&M has 19 conference titles across all sports since joining. LSU has 9 over that same timespan. Who is worse for brand recognition again?
Still A&M.

You're absolutely right because NCAA baseball is NOT LSU baseball, amirite?

I spoke explicitly about your brand outside of football in the OP. It's embarrassing and damages the conference. It makes carrying the torch by the big 6 much harder.

Of your 144 conference titles, 35 (almost 25%) came this millennium.
That means that, as a program, you've averaged just over 1.4 titles per year before 2000 and just over 2 per year since.
Average titles:
A&M = 1.61/season (over 103 years)
LSU = 1.51/season (over 95 years)

It's time A&M comes to terms with their role in the SEC and college football as a whole.
Why? Who cares whether they "come to terms" with it? If they want to be delusional, that's their problem.

Their fans should be committed for their delusions of grandeur.
Why? They're not hurting anybody.

Oh, for Pete's sake. Every SEC team has had ugly non-conference performances. In 1999, the SEC champion (Alabama) lost to Louisiana Tech outside of conference play. LSU lost to UAB in 2000, Alabama lost to UL-Monroe in 2007 and has lost to Hawaii, Central Florida, USM and Northern Illinois all since 2000. Mississippi State, Ole Miss, Arkansas, Florida and South Carolina have all lost to FCS teams, most of them fairly recently. Georgia lost a bowl game to Central Florida.
A&M shite the bed blowing that lead, but in the end it's a one-point loss in the final minute on the road to a Power 5 opponent with a Heisman candidate QB. There are much more embarrassing things that can happen and have happened to SEC teams.

All the talk of money, new facilities, those vaunted Texas recruits, JFF and yet, here we are again. The same old story. It's time A&M comes to terms with their role in the SEC and college football as a whole. The reality is that they will never be a perennial power. They exist in the SEC simply to funnel recruits to perennial powers of the SEC. Their existence as the milk men, jizz jar carrying male cheerleader school pushes recruits our way faster than Coach O can make a roux. Their fans should be committed for their delusions of grandeur. They consistently embarrass the conference and themselves. At least with Missouri, there are no unrealistic expectations and people look at the SEC positively for accepting such a lesser university and athletics program into our ranks. They're like the kind of cute mut at the shelter no one wants and the SEC is the kind family that adopts him and turns him into a good boy. So, Missouri, here are your pats on the head for being a good boy. And congratulations, I will no longer view you and A&M the same way again. Thanks for being you
I'm not sure how anyone that isn't insane could agree with this. Mizzou is pretty much bad publicity U right now with all the bullshite they have going on.

Logic is refreshing. Someone gets it.

Always interesting when a fan of a small, Christian school speaks up on brand recognition!
