As a defensive coordinator, he was terrible. When Ohio State won the title, he was the LINEBACKERS coach.
Ohio State's defense got dramatically worse between 2003 (the year before he became DC) and 2004.
To recap:
2003 Ohio State
Total Defense - 10th (297 ypg)
Scoring Defense - 16th (17.6 ppg)
2004 Ohio State
Total Defense - 30th (332 ypg)
Scoring Defense - 19th (18.3 ppg)
One sure fire mark of a bad defensive coordinator is that he doesn't coach a particular position. Mark Snyder didn't coach a single position at A&M. Neither did Joe Kines (2008-2009), Gary Darnell (2006-2007), or Carl Torbush (2003-2005).

My logic that anyone with a pulse and the ones who create the odds for gambling believe LSU has a better football team is pathetic

I don't think it is hate. I think it is dread. Because they know we didn't just put down $500 million on football facilities to be satisfied with losing games.
Deep down LSU fans know that if Sumlin doesn't doesn't start beating them regularly, the Aggies will hire an Urban Meyer caliber Coach who will.

Yea, Aggy has always been known as a powerhouse program who hires big time coaches that win championships
