Also, I forgot to mention, congrats on the win Saturday. Hell of a team you got there. Your QB isn't too bad, either.

Not even worth it, but the OP is missing some logical connection between A&M fans saying Texas doesn't want to play them in the Cotton Bowl and that somehow being construed as Texas controlling A&M.

Listen A&M fans, I know you're all happy after beating bama. The reality is that they aren't the team they were last year and we should have beaten them at home but they made key plays when it mattered and snuck out of DV with a win.

You just need to get it through your heads that you will NOT be going to the bcs this year. Likely, neither will LSU. UGA very likely can/will beat bama and then both of them likely will go. If bama drops far then Florida gets the spot. If UF loses to FSU LSU will likely go.

It all depends on final BCS rankings, and you certainly will not pass LSU.

Time to wake up and move on.

The reality is LSU lost at home to Bama. Deal with it and stop with the moral fricking victories. Some of your morons on this board are making the LSU fan base look like a bunch of bleeding vaginas.

Lots of talk about how Texas runs the Big 12, and makes the calls for the state schools. Wasn't that a major reason you haven't been SEC as long as Arkansas has? You're mistaking my point for trolling.

Not sure what I need to get over. Just reminding you guys, there's a new dynamic in the state of Texas. Suggested you flex some muscles, although it might end up making your team better by securing a stronger base in your own state.

Don't be a dick. You will find that going through the SEC, you better be damned good to get to a BCS game. Like this year, for every time you can beat a Bama, you can also lose at home to Florida and LSU. If you think you're gonna own Auburn and Arkansas from here out (or Tennessee for that matter), you're delusional. And then you get Georgia and South Carolina.

So, yeah, "if you're worthy". It takes more than beating the Mississippi schools to win in the SEC.

Geez, try to be friendly to some folks

It's just old.
We're told by most of you--daily--who we are, what we believe, how we'll perform, where our program is headed, etc.
Didn't mean to be a dick--shouldn't have been snarky--but damn. Seems like everyone's an expert on Texas A&M.
The only people who are making more of the Alabama win are non-Aggies. We're well aware that it was one game.

With what do I need to deal?
Bowl projections?
I'm fine with wherever we end up.

As an aside, I never thought bout the sippers pushing to get the Championship Bowl in Jerry's World. Did they try & pressure anyone in particular to get it located in Texas? I'd forgotten that that game could bring the sippers into SEC country, even if it would be against the league's second place team, basically. I hope Brown hangs around long enuff to get his butt kicked in the Dome.

This isn't about the bowl bid, nor is it about your beating Bama for that matter. Wouldn't kill me if you guys went to the Fiesta and we went to the Cotton. To be honest, I remember more recent (since Jerry did the revamp) Cotton Bowls than I do Fiesta Bowls. Like I said, being the only game on Fox, it's done up nice, and you get plenty of exposure.

It's also okay to have a state rival outside the SEC, as with Fla-Fla State, Georgia-Georgia Tech, and South Carolina-Clemson. Totally ignoring Texas would be a mistake on your part, both in recruiting and in keeping things fun at the job.

Like I said, I can't imagine a better F- You to send to Texas, than this season, after they were such pricks about your move to the SEC, than you (with the SEC's weight behind you) forcing them to 'deal with it' and play you in the Cotton... with you whipping that arse. Wouldn't be obsessive to do that this year, just a matter of saying to your new SEC brethren "hang on a sec, I've got something to clean up. Be out in a sec", and then you leave Texas behind. Maybe consider playing them again in a decade or so, "once we find the time".

Being an LSU fan and alum, it's not really something I can relate to. Closest thing I could come up with, was getting a shot at USC, as I posted earlier.

Scoob you are correct. There appears to be a minor portion of the fanbase who likes to compare us to the other in state school. I moved on well before the announcement of us coming to the SEC, but to some it's more about rubbing it in.

Our fight song, for example, refers to the other school. Back in the day I guess there was this hysteria between each other, or at least on our end. I want our fight song changed. Lot's do not. How lame is it now to say, "saw Varsity's horns off..." at BDS or the Swamp, etc. Lame if you ask me. Very lame. My dad (class of '65) is even on board now with a change in the fight song. Sure, it's a really big deal. Change is an evil word for some. A change will probably only happen if the current students make the change. I'm not confident, but hopeful.

As for the future I sure hope LSU vs A&M does in fact become the end of year game for each. One can dream, and that is mine.

I think part of it is we all identify with you guys now. You're part of the SEC family and when Texas flexes its arrogant, high and mighty excuse for muscles, we all get pissed off.

You're in the SEC, and no one is allowed to talk shite about you anymore. As members of this conference we're not going to want to hear it from anybody, much less that God awful abomination called UT. We want you to kick their arse. I mean, really kick their arse. fricking skull drag them. 70-0 embarrassment before the first half is over type of arse kicking.

Now I know you might get offended because you think its a slight, but we're not being sarcastic - we're being serious. We just want you to shut up the haters, no matter who they are, or where its played.
