I'm outraged.

Not by him or anyone else kneeling, but his grammar is awful. Outrageous.

Exactly, it's not like they don't have resources. I just don't understand why the people who can have the largest influence over stuff like this are...kneeling.

I didn't think college teams were on the field for the anthem? I know Georgia never is, they are still in locker room.

It's a sign of subservience to their Grand Master George Soros.

I respect people's right to have non-violent protests to communicate. I respect their right to kneel.

That said, if my son told he he intended to do this I'd feel like I'd failed him as a father.

Simple question: Is there NCAA rule/policy relative to this issue. If not, then I see him as a misguided attention whore. If there is a rule, then the NCAA should address the issue with A&M's administration.

The obvious analogous comparison with the NFL situation is that the NFL has a specific rule/policy regarding respectful behavior that is being violated by the participation players.

My stance: We are a nation of laws and/or rules. Without them we invite the chaos typical in 3rd world nations. I see this no different from the illegal immigration debacle. You either enforce immigration law or change the law. I take the same stance regarding the NFL situation; either change the rule or enforce it.

He made the statement Sunday night at 10:40pm. It was concerning a High School game this coming Friday.

By Monday afternoon, he tweeted that after talking to his parents and his coaches he will not sit but will stand for the national anthem with his high school team mates.

I think it was a kid that got too full of himself and probably had it explained on how easy it is to lose a scholarship. Especially at a University that honors the military so much.

From the Houston Chronicle:

Cypress Springs safety and Texas A&M commitment Leon O'Neal tweeted he will be "standing in unity" with his teammates during the national anthem instead of kneeling Saturday against Cypress Creek.
O'Neal tweeted late Sunday night that he planned to kneel at the Panthers' next game, following suit of what many NFL players did Sunday in protest of President Donald Trump's comments at a rally Friday.
Trump said: "Wouldn't you love to see one of these NFL owners, when somebody disrespects our flag, to say, 'Get that son of a (expletive) off the field right now. Out. He's fired. He's fired!"
The crux of Trump's criticism comes from former San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick's decision to kneel during the anthem last year in protest of racial inequality and police brutality.
O'Neal tweeted that after speaking about the decision to kneel with family and advisors, he opted to stand. "I will be STANDING in UNITY with my team. I love my country," his tweet said Monday afternoon.

Meh I don't care. If they want to protest its their right as an American. The fact that most people don't understand what the protest is even about and that the athletes have done a poor job conveying the reasoning behind the protest is a concern to its effectiveness. I'd rather they not do it durning the national anthem but whatever.

We got a bunch of copycats.

I thought it was for police violence against blacks, but then the stats don't show that to be true.

Then it was against Trump, but I am not sure a high school can fire a student.

I try to give it as little attention as possible. You stop looking and talking about it, no one will do it.
