A&M was superior vs the rest of the SEC & vs non conference opponents. Arkansas was superior head to head and in the postseason. The overall record (includes postseason) clearly shows A&M was better by having 10 more wins and 11 fewer losses. When it came down to the just the postseason, I think its pretty clear Ark ended up with an easier road and then went on to make it one "round" further. That said I think its worth considered. Ultimately I think I'd trade season because as I said before Omaha is Omaha. Maybe if A&M was able to win a conference title I would think otherwise.

I can't argue with you. I think both programs had seasons to be pleased with looking ahead. Arkansas with a slight edge because we made it to Omaha but the Aggies have nothing to be ashamed of.

One half a dozen or the other. We made it to Omaha. But, had the easier road, IMO. Now, if we had won a game or tow in Omaha it'd be a different story.

Not really.

No one cares how a team started the year, it's all how you ended it. You would have a case MAYBE if A&M won the SEC. You have no case otherwise.

CWS >>>>>>>>>>>>> Nada

It's really not debatable.

Actually ... you're right, the debate is over.

A&M had the better overall season.

Ark had the better spurt from about mid-season and through the super regional although they had the easier row to hoe and they failed miserably in Omaha.

And Arkansas had a better season than the cocks who choked all season.

Arkansas had the better season. Hands down. They made it to Omaha and beat us 2/3 at Olsen.

Ahhhhhhh there we go with the REAL reason for your thread. You didn't want anyone's opinion. You already had your mind made up.

Bert is fat and Omaha has some corn fed folks. Clearly Arkansas getting to Omaha was more important to Bert.

IMO playing Cal 3x and CC 1 was much more difficult than @OSU and whoever else. Then @TCU > MSU. But thats is just the luck of the draw.

In theory playing Cal was a huge blessing. They got like 19 hits on the season. For whatever reason, they gave you guys all kinds of trouble. The games were so much fun to watch, but I'm sure it drove you chaps nuts.

Except they didn't. They had the better regular season while Arky had the better post-season.

Seeing that post-season always trumps regular season, Arky had the better overall season.

Cal was a 3 seed with a sub 30 RPI & a 3rd place finish in the Pac. Yeah easily the best 3 seed is a huge blessing.

Your team is in the CWS and you can't stop talking about a mid season tourney you lost the tiebreaker for. I've never seen a fan base so obsessed before. You're like Texas Tech all over again.

They're still A&M. We're not.

Therefore we had the better year.

That couldn't hit (ranked 143 in the nation in BA, 212 in OBP, 72 in SLG) against a team that finished one or two in all categories in the SEC. I'd say that's a blessing.

As to your other comments, aggy doesn't get jokes. It is a weird thing. Many of your posters think everyone is all srsbznz on the internet. You need to grow up and discover that sports is fun for some people, not their obsession like it appears to dominate your life. Just a thought.
